This historic home has all the modern amenities and the convenience of being located in the heart of downtown St George. The Whitehead House is a beautiful home built in 1881 located in the historic district of St George within walking distance of 10 restaurants and the many local events that are constantly happening in old downtown. It has recently been preserved and remodeled with all of the latest conveniences. Every bedroom has an en-suite bathroom (except #5). Bedrooms #2,3,4,6 & 7 have tubs and showers. #2 roll-in shower. Every room (except #5) also has a 32' or larger LED flat screen HDTV and cable. We also provide 2 pack n play's and two sets of fitted sheets for infants. For toddlers we have 3 child bed rail/bumpers. And two three-fold mats for floor sleeping. The main living room has a brand new 65" Roku HD flat screen TV, a blue-ray player. There are also some DVDs and Blu-rays available. A second small family room is connected to bedroom #2 and has a 55' flat screen with blu-ray player. A Blue tooth speaker is in living room. You can connect to your playlist or say, "Hey G_____ ....." and ask a questions or request information and music. There is a 12-piece dining set for the dining room, a square folding table with 4 chairs, six foot folding table with 6 chairs, and a 11-piece outdoor patio set. Bedrooms have 4 queen pillow top mattresses (3 soft, one firm), 3 king mattresses (semi Firm), and 5 twin mattresses. We are committed to furnishing and decorating the home to make it an amazing vacation home. St. George is a safe area, however for insurance proposes the home is monitored by an alarm system and security cameras (installed on outside of the home, facing driveway). NOTE: This is a legal vacation rental approved by the city. Many vacation rentals in St George are illegal and it we suggest checking with the city to verify. Just past the Mansion is Ancestor Square: Restaurants such as "The Painted Pony", Benja Thai & Sushi, Pizza Factory, Pasta Factory, and George's, Coffee Love, Hair Salon etc. Further down, still in walking distance are many antique shops, more places to eat, St. George Art Museum, the Tabernacle, a Splash pad for kids and a large park with a carousel and Children's museum, Judd's candy store, and Green Gate Village (Shops and restaurants all housed in charming historic homes). Many marathons, biking events etc. Pass right by the Whitehead Home In addition to its convenient downtown location, The Whitehead Home is a great base to visit the many beautiful State and National Parks including Zion, Bryce and Snow Canyon. Just north is the famous Dixie Rock. Miles of hiking trails, picnic area and a beautiful gardens that represent the vegetation that grows in the area. We are also a popular with golf groups who enjoy the easy access to restaurants at night and easy access to the areas many golf courses during the day. Whatever your groups plans, The Whitehead Home provides a memorable stay, a unique property and a wonderful location. Your group will love it. The home is within walking distance of many restaurants, shops, food chains, historic sites, antique stores and a park/children museum/ splash pad. Rental scooters are also located on many downtown corners and at the park. A car is required if your stay includes visiting Zion, Snow Canyon or other parks and recreation areas. There is plenty of parking at the Whitehead Home. The front circular driveway can fit 4 cars and our side parking pad can fit 3 additional cars. Street parking is also allowed. There is plenty of parking at the Whitehead House. There are 3 parking spaces on the property off of 100 W. on the west side of the house, and enough parking for 3-4 more cars on the circular driveway. AMENITIES NOTE: We leave complimentary starter amenities. They include small refillable bottle of hand soap and two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, box of tissues. In full baths we have a blow dryer, makeup mirror attached to wall, black makeup wash cloth, disposable makeup wipes, 1 small bar of soap, and small lotion. In shower are full size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. In kitchen we leave one regular refillable bottle of dish soap, hand soap, hand sanitizer, and new sponge. In laundry we leave some laundry soap pods and dryer sheets. Should you need more you can purchase them at the grocery store that is close by. **GARBAGE bags are located in the white garbage can in the kitchen under the bag that is being used. Most people don't see them until after filling a bag and taking it out. GARBAGE IS COLLECTED WEDNESDAY MORNING EARLY! IF YOU ARE STAYING TUESDAY NIGHT, THE GARBAGE CANS MUST BE LEFT OUT AT THE CURB ON TUESDAY. Check out Instructions: **Place USED BATH TOWELING in tub/shower where they will not be stepped on. **Put USED RAGS, and any Crib Sheet/Blankets in laundry room on top of washer. **Leave USED BEDS UNMADE; do not remove bed linens. Leave sofa sleeper pulled out. **Place DIRTY DISHES in dishwasher and start. **Take KITCHEN & ROOM GARBAGE to outside bins. If Check-out is on Monday or Tuesday; please take large garbage can to the curb. Garbage day is early Wednesday. **TURN OFF AIR/HEATING UNIT ROOM 6. **REMOTE CONTROLS should be in appropriate rooms in box. (TV & air unit remotes). **IF USED/GRILL, wipe up and cover. **IF USED/RETURN OUTDOOR GAMES/BIKE ETC.to shed. MUST BE locked & code scrambled. **IF USED/FOLDING TABLE & CHAIRS, if used return to dining room closet. **IF MOVED, RETURN ALL furniture, deco pillows, blankets to original spot/room. **If SIGNED INTO Netflix, Hulu etc., make sure you are logged off.
