Conveniently located within walking distance to town. A/C! The space The Stadler Gallery House, established in the 1830s, stands as one of the original residences in Kingfield, Maine. Situated right on the Carrabassett River in downtown Kingfield, this farmhouse was once a public gallery and served as the long-term residence of a local artist, equestrian, and skiing enthusiast. Over the past two decades, it has been a cherished retreat for various guests, including friends and family, along with dogs, horses, skiers, hikers, painters, and artists. The house offers a comfortable and spacious environment with various amenities. Adjacent to the river, you can easily access downtown for swimming or venture out for a riverside stroll. The vast backyard provides space for outdoor activities like soccer, frisbee, or stargazing to the soothing sound of the river. Upon entering the Stadler house, you will be captivated by its cleanliness, spacious layout, and tasteful decor featuring paintings and antiques. The house boasts two grand entryways leading to a well-equipped kitchen with a new wood-burning fireplace, a designated work area, a dining room, and a cozy living room. The main floor also includes a generously sized bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs, you'll find three additional bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a cozy lounge area. Portable fans are available in each bedroom for added comfort during the summer months, and there are multiple A/C units as well. Conveniently located steps away from Kingfield's downtown eateries, shops, the Stanley Museum, and Webster Library, the house is just a short drive from Sugarloaf mountain ski resort, the Carrabassett Region mountain bike trail network, the Appalachian Trail, and other local attractions. Its proximity is perfect for visitors attending events like the annual Kingfield Pops Concert and the Sugarloaf marathon. Guest access The guests have access to the main house and lower garage. The barn is not available for use at this time. Other things to note We work really hard to make sure you have a good experience while vacationing at one of our properties.
