Secluded home by Hunter Mountain
Contemporary home in the northern Catskills, 10-12 mins. from Hunter Mountain, with scenic views, a rustic atmosphere yet contemporary touch. The floor plan is open with a spacious living area. The kitchen connects to the dining room and the dining room to the living room. Inside you will see a wood burning stove. The space The view from the Great room of the house looks out upon Spruce Top Mountain. There is one bedroom with a full size bed and another with two twin beds. There are local photos throughout the house. Please note that my home does not have air conditioning. It is rarely neeeded, especially on the first floor, but on a hot summer day, the second floor could get hot. There is a fan available in the second floor bedroom if needed along with a ceiling fan. : ) There is a separate sauna building to add to your relaxing getaway. Outdoor space includes a great lawn with a views - plenty of room for family fun. Guest access Guests will have full access to the kitchen, living area, bedrooms and, if requested, the sauna building. This home can accommodate more people as it has a low ceiling bedroom with mattresses for the little ones, if needed. Use of the wood stove is allowed. I can be flexible with check-in and check-out times, please contact me! ** On October 5, if it is possible I would like to stay in the sauna building, hopefully that is acceptable. It is in the woods and, hopefully, you will not see me. : ) Other things to note There are many hiking trails in the area. This link describes the general area: (URL HIDDEN). The lawn and great lawn is ideal for picnics or just lounging - bring your favorite chair! My home does not have a TV - the thought is that if your are getting away from it all - then you truly get away! : ) The couches are "sinking" ones - once your are in, that's it! See you in the morning! : ) I have been fortunate to have many bookings and the couches show a little wear. I recovered the cushions, that helped, but need to still do some work. The fall is a great time for critters (mostly mice) to get in and with woods all around our home is a good target. We put out mice baits, however, not always are we 100% successful. Critters do, in most cases, disappear during the winter and the spring/summer. I have checked a no pets policy, but if you are considering, please write me. As mentioned above we put out mouse baits, though they are hidden we would want to avoid any accidents!
