Other things to note Swamp Cooler operation. First you want to start by opening both bedroom windows one to two inches. This is because the swamp cooler needs to breathe. If the windows aren't open it won't be able to cool the house as much as it should or can. You have to let the air circulate. It's the only way the cool air will get in there. Usually we leave the cooler at 78-80 degrees on low cool. Feel free to open the thermostat door (located across from the bathroom door) and lower the temperature and turn the fan on high cool, for more air. Swamp coolers on average only cool the indoor air 25 degrees cooler than the outdoor temperature. For maximum cooling, do as above and turn on ceiling fans to circulate cool air. Thank you
