This is for our whole apartment and is available rarely. If you don't see your dates on our calendar it doesn't hurt to ask! The guest room is listed separately. See note about cats, they will be in the house with you! Our condo is bright and spacious with wood floors and lots of light. Conveniently located, it’s an easy walk of everything in downtown Hartford. Located in a historic townhouse, our updated apartment is on the 1st floor and garden level and enjoys a private backyard The space The main living area of the house is on the first floor and includes a living room, dining room, half bathroom and large kitchen. Downstairs in the garden level there are 3 bedrooms: 1: Queen sized bed. Private bathroom with shower (no tub). 2: Twin bed with organic mattress (child's room). 3. Full (double) sized bed with super comfy tempur-pedic style mattress. Private bathroom has shower and bathtub. This room also has a mini fridge, microwave and electric kettle. This is the guest room we use if you are just booking a private room through our other listing ("Private suite in James Colt townhouse"). The cats: Stripes and Madeline are friendly and pretty low maintenance. They need feeding daily. They go outside so you will generally not need to clean the litter. The front bedroom has a cat door so you may have one sleeping by your feet but they won’t wake you up. Guest access The whole apartment will be yours during your stay. We have a washer/dryer, iron, all major kitchen appliances, Apple TV, fireplace, etc. Ask if you need anything specific. Other things to note There are cats in the house. See details in the Description section. We have plenty of kids things and other useful items you are welcome to borrow. There's a little kid scooter and helmet, toys, cloth grocery bags, picnic blankets, lawn chairs, and shopping carts, etc. We use eco friendly cleaners and detergents. We also recycle and have a compost bucket should you wish to use it. The bedroom is down 1 flight of stairs from the main floor. As it is a very old building, we sadly are not wheelchair accessible. If you’re coming in the summer we have window air conditioners on the main living level (kitchen, dining and living rooms). The bedrooms are in the lower level (half-basement) and do not have air conditioning. They usually stay fairly cool and there is a fan in each bedroom but heads up in case there is a heat wave. We welcome guests of all races, ethnicities, religious beliefs, gender identities, sexual orientations and whatever else people may judge you by.
