Our home is a short 10 minute stroll to town. We love walking to town in the morning to get a coffee at Manzanita Coffee or Manzanita News & Espresso. Sometimes we walk into town to catch breakfast at Yolk (not to be missed), or a cold beer at The San Dune. In the afternoon, it's nice to hang out on the terrace at The Winery at Manzanita. Nehalem Bay State Park is less than a 5 minute drive from the house. Our favorite hikes are the 7 mile hike up Neahkanie Mountain and the short 1 mile hike to Short Sands Beach. Both of these hikes are accessible within a 5 minute drive. Another favorite outdoor activity is to build a campfire on the beach and watch the sunset. This is so easy to do because the beach is literally steps from the door. If you're a golfer, the 9 hole Manzanita Golf Course is a 2 minute drive away. Really, everything is so accessible from this house. We hope you love it as much as we do! Besides the incredible views and access to the beach (1 step outside your door), the best thing about the location of the Waves House is its accessibility to everything in Manzanita. Laneda Avenue is a 10 minute walk away. Nehalem Bay State Park is less than a 5 minute drive from the house. You can even walk there. We also have 2 bikes available for guests to use during your stay. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! 7 Miles of beach await you and your family. The beach is just steps outside the door down a private path through the beach grass. The house is very quiet and private, but still easily walkable to town.
