Rural retreat near Sudbury in Suffolk

Ramblers Rest, a self contained apartment within our family home, is located close to the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are numerous beautiful walks to explore, including the nature reserves of Ager Fen and Spouse’s Vale. We are 10 minutes, by car, from the market town of Sudbury and 20 minutes from the historic town of Colchester, Britain’s oldest recorded town. Bures train station is only a 10 minute drive away, with regular trains to London, Ipswich and Colchester. The space Ramblers Rest is an under floor heated, self contained space and although part of our family home, your privacy is ensured by internal door, which will be locked when you are in residence. Entry is via a private patio door with a keypad code system. An area of decking with table and chairs is set aside for your use. A small kitchen area is fully equipped with: cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge with small freezer section, Tassimo machine, pots, pans and utensils. The adjoining living space boasts a 42 inch TV with free to view channels and also Amazon Prime TV, a DVD player with a large selection of DVDs, a dedicated workstation for laptop and comfortable work from home option, and a comfy sofa bed. There is also a modern shower, a king size bed and plenty of storage. WiFi is available throughout. Free, private off road parking is provided just 25m from the entrance. A small selection of tea, coffee, milk, salt and pepper, oils etc. will be available on your arrival. Towels, toilet rolls, hand wash, shower gel, T-towels, cleaning products and washing up liquid are also supplied. No pets No parties No smoking No parcel deliveries Guest access Guests have access to the entire guest suite, with shower room, toilet, bedroom, living area and small kitchenette, separated from our family home by a secure, locked door for their privacy. There is also a small area of decking to relax and enjoy the rural location. Other things to note There will sometimes be some noise from garage further down the valley during working hours. (Mon - Sat) This garage can’t be seen and does not spoil the rural views from Ramblers Rest.
