Stoney Lake Manor is located a stone's throw from Wildfire Golf Club, with rentals beginning this Spring of 2017 (no water access, local beaches & marinas nearby). Incredible sunsets on Stoney Lake ... absolutely the best vista from atop the hill AND you will LOVE the entire Manor while reconnecting with Mother Nature! If you are looking for a fabulous, private getaway for your family or your business associates, this is it! The space There are many small towns and villages as well as natural wonders in the area. After soaking up Mother Nature, you may want to venture out for golfing, check out a local marina for boating, SUP, canoeing, etc; or cycle local trails... We are ten minutes from the Petroglyphs Provinicial Park, 15 minutes from Lakefield or Youngs Point and a half hour from cinemas and shopping in Peterborough. Guest access You have access to the entire Manor. There is a barn on the property, with no access. There are over 50 acres of forest with some trails to enjoy, as well as the other 50+ acres to walk the land revered by First Nations' people as the land full of medicines. Hundreds of years ago, First Nations people would come from all over to gather medicines here at Stoney Lake, where the Canadian Shield ends. There is no access to the Lake, but there are marinas and beaches nearby. Other things to note The local Kawartha Chamber is located at the lights in the fabulous Village of Lakefield, and the lovely ladies there are always happy to let you know about local attractions, festivals and things to do. There is a well-stocked 24 hour Foodland, liquor & beer store in Lakefield as well as a great butcher at Flannigans, Happenstance book & yarns, Celtic Connection for all things faerie & exquisite handmade Irish knitwear, Lakefield Pantry for all natural, organic foods and two GREAT pubs, a five star French Bistro at Cassis, the chocolate rabbit makes her own chocolate, Jack's Fish & Chips, Deb's Lakeland diner for homemade brekky, etc, all in Lakefield!
