Beautiful vacation home with easy 10 min access to lakes for fishing/water sports; trails for skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, hiking, and running. Crater Lake National Park, Odell & Crescent Lakes, Willamette Pass Ski Resort, Mt. Bachelor, Pacific Crest Trail, Cascade Scenic Byway, and more are within a 10-minute to a 1-hour's drive. Enjoy mountain views and bird-watching while sitting in front of a cozy fire or sunning on the deck. The space Bummy's Place cabin is a beautiful and cozy place to spend with family and friends or to experience a quiet romantic getaway in a wilderness setting. Relax in this outdoor-themed cabin with comfy furnishings, air-conditioning, WiFi, and a library of movies, books, and games. The fully equipped kitchen is well stocked with oils, seasonings, and baking ingredients. It's the ideal retreat for enjoying nearby recreation (snow and water sports, hiking, biking, and creating new memories. The main cabin includes 3 bedrooms (2 queens downstairs and queen & twin upstairs) and has a full bath on both floors to serve groups with 6 or fewer guests. If your group desires their own bed, or if your group is 8 or more, please consider renting this property with the Bonus Room Apartment above the garage; and full bath for a small extra fee. It's ideal for multiple families, small reunions, or for those wanting some privacy or their own beds. We do not rent the bonus room apartment separately, but leave it locked when only the main cabin is rented. Feel free to inquire before booking if you have questions about the space. If you are looking for adventure during your stay, here are some popular options to consider: -- Take a 10-min. drive to Crescent Lake for swimming at Simax Beach (we provide beach chairs & beach towels), boating, paddleboarding, or fishing (also at Odell Lake). Both have resorts that offer rentals, but check availability on their websites online at Crescent Lake Resort or Odell Lake Lodge and Resort. -- Enjoy a 15-min to Salt Creek Falls, Oregon's 2nd highest waterfall. Hiking trails and incredible viewpoints (wheelchair accessible) only 100 ft from the parking lot. -- A quick 15-min drive gets you to Willamette Pass Ski Resort for downhill skiing and the Gold Lake Sno-Park for xctry skiing and snowshoeing (rentals available). We provide 4 sets of adult-size snowshoes and 3 or 4 sleds. -- Plan to drive one hour and spend the day at Oregon's famed Crater Lake National Park for spectacular views, hiking, or hanging out at the lodge. -- Mt Bachelor Ski Resort is only a one-hour drive for some of the best ski and snowboarding runs in the state. -- Head north on Hwy 97 for a 45-min to one-1 drive to visit the Lava Caves, the High Desert Museum, or the city of Bend, Oregon (known for great microbrews and fun downtown vibe) -- Find excellent fishing in the high lakes. Within 20 minutes, enjoy two fly fishing-only lakes (Gold Lake and Davis Lake) for rainbows, brookies, and bass. Both Crescent and Odell lakes offer fishing for lake trout and kokanee. Boat rentals are available at both Crescent and Odell lake resorts. Thirty-minute plus will get you to Wikiup, Crane Prairie, and Waldo Lakes. Drive 45-minutes to enjoy beautiful fly fishing-only at Hosmer Lake with outstanding views of Mt. Feel free to contact us if you have questions. Other things to note * BOOKING REQUIREMENT: Renter must meet all Airbnb's ID requirements. Positive host reviews are required to rent our vacation home. A condition of renting this property is the guest and party shall comply with all house rules, including check-out instructions. * BOATS/TRAILERS: Our driveway may be a challenge for large boats/trailers. We highly recommend that mooring large boats at Odell Lake or Crescent Lake, which are 10 minutes from the cabin. * INTERNET/WiFi: This is a mountain and forested area where Internet reception is suitable for standard use. Streaming on devices can be limited due to weather conditions, and or you may experience some buffering. * WINTER RENTALS: Snow and ice may be present. Vehicles with 4-wheel drive, snow tires, or chains are best for spots of ice that may be present in this mountain area and on our driveway. Before guests arrive, we have the Diamond Peaks snow removal contractor blow snow off the driveway, but spots of ice may still be present and AWD may not be sufficient. Come prepared. *SNOW PARK PERMITS: If you plan to visit recreation areas (lakes, trails, Sno-Parks, etc.) in Deschutes, Willamette, or Umpqua national forests, parking or day-use permits may be required. Refer to the US Forest Service website for these national forests. Sno-Park permit can be purchased at the Crescent Lake Sportsman Center 1.2 mi from the cabin on Hwy 58 or online by searching "Oregon Sno-Park Permit". If you have a federal "America the Beautiful senior pass," check to make sure it can be used at any recreation area you plan to visit.
