Easy access to every part of the Twin Cities, and close to everything you need. Please note that the bathroom is compact, and while usable for larger guests, it might not be very comfortable. The suite is entirely yours. There is a separate, soon-to-be dining room and a storage room on the same level. You'll have a side door entrance, and your suite door will be directly to the right at the bottom of the stairs. We request access to the furnace room in the unlikely event that it's needed, but only with your permission first. You are welcome to use the large deck with a hammock, lounge, table and chairs, and our large, tree canopied back yard. We have stayed in all types of Airbnbs in Italy, Croatia, Cuba, Denmark, Netherlands, Ireland, and throughout the US, and we love meeting people. If you’re looking for a quiet, undisturbed stay, we are delighted to offer that, too. We can provide you with all the necessary information ahead of time, simply say hello when you arrive and then leave you to your peace and quiet. We love most everything about our neighborhood. We live in a relatively diverse neighborhood where we've experienced a slow turnover from elders whose children have grown and gone to young families. There is a co-op, grocery store, liquor store, shopping center, Wells Fargo branch, library, 2 playgrounds, a nature center, and a highly rated restaurant/bar all within a short hike, if you are so inclined. Ask to borrow our BOB stroller for local use, if you have youngsters! It's sturdy enough for older toddlers. You'll have access to Mall of America, Downtown, Uptown, the Art Institute, the Walker, theater, our beautiful city lakes and trails and more, including St. Paul, our beautiful little brother just over the Missippi River. We are steps from one bus line and a short distance from another, but you might have to transfer. Uber and Lyft are popular here, and there are several cab companies. Minneapolis is second only to Portland, OR for our superb bike trail-and-road system with access to all things Twin Cities. The airport is a very short ride by cab or Uber/Lyft. Parking is free on our wide street. All the suite's floors are ceramic tile. Note that as the suite is in the lower level of the house, there are 15 uncarpeted steps to go down and up, with a standard railing. There are 3 steps to climb from the street to the front sidewalk, and 2 to the outside door to the suit, with no railing. We have a large black lab mix named Loki. He has never been in the lower level where your suite will be, and is always closely supervised and cleaned up after, in the backyard. Loki is very gentle and affectionate. He occasionally barks, but we respond immediately. We love kids, and while the suite is ideal for people without kids, we are also excited for it to be kid friendly: removable locks on the drawers to the bed, kids’ dinner ware, toys, books, a baby bath tub, and a very portable high chair you can borrow for restaurant visits and an umbrella stroller for outings. Our outlets are kid safe. We have a Cosco pinch-safe table and chairs for eating and play.
