Our turquoise cottage next door is also a 2 bedroom / 2 bath “Old Florida” style cottage, called “Shangri-La.” Both cottages are newly listed on Airbnb in Feb 2020, and are two of the original FMB-style beach cottages! This breathtaking private property has professionally maintained tropical gardens that completely surround the two darling cottages, making any visitor feel like they truly are in a real ‘Shangri-La’. —You won’t want to leave! There is a shared grilling patio with a brand new gas grill overlooking the ocean that adjoins both outdoor areas. Each cottage has spaces for two cars to park, 4 between them. [For those interested in renting both cottages: it feels like a Key West compound when you are using both cottages; invite your friends, or extended family members! So luxurious for the host to have two separate spaces— contact the host if you’d like to coordinate a rental of both cottages for larger groups of 8-12. Each house has a pull-out couch in the living rooms. The turquoise house, called “Shangri-La”, was built in 1921 and is a beguiling original beach house (actually built before there was a road on the Island!) — so rare these days and is super cute and cozy for 4-6 people. Water sports, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, public tennis, fresh fish for dinner are all right on the Island for you to enjoy. No need to go anywhere else once you arrive! We even have our own coconuts on the property — help yourself and above all else, Relax......you’re already at the beach. Each cottage has two parking spaces, for a total of 4 cars on the property. You are conveniently located to access either bridge off island. Walk down the beach to many restaurants, down to the grocery store, across the street to the farmer’s market on Wednesdays, or take the Island trolley one mile down to the site of Jimmy Buffet’s new Mararitaville (coming in 2022)!!! We’ve tried to think of everything so just bring your bathing suit, sunglasses, sunscreen & you’ll be good to go. This darling cottage is literally ON ITS OWN PRIVATE BEACH.
