"Wheelhouse" is a new cottage (built in 2015) with a wonderful view of the crashing waves just across the street. Family and fury friends will enjoy the fenced yard. This new home has a spacious open concept. The living/dining/kitchen space has vaulted ceilings and is ideal for socializing. The home is equipped with a smart HD TV, DVD player, sound bar, stereo, free WI-FI (20 mgbts) and even a telescope! For rainy days, relax by the wood stove with our supply of books, games and puzzles. We have a spacious, fully equipped kitchen perfect for cooking meals. For coffee lovers we have both a Keurig and an automatic drip coffee maker. Our property manager is local and available upon request. You can enjoy watching a charming variety of locals, visitors and their dogs promenading along the historic 804 Trail, all while keeping a look out for whales - all from our view just in front of the house! Pets are welcome although we do have a flat rate $100.00 pet fee with a two dog maximum. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or bedding, but we do provide special sheets to cover any furniture with if your dog is a lap dog. We also provide a dog bed, dog bowls, dog towels, a poop scooper and dog waste bags. A note about the fence - Large dogs can jump it and there are areas that small dogs can get under and escape - please do not leave your dog unattended in the yard as it is not fool proof! We have a gas BBQ and picnic table in the back yard. We also have a couple of deck chairs in the front of the house to enjoy the view! For added family fun we have a small library of DVD's, and a horseshoe kit. We also have a couple of bikes stored in the shed behind the house. Feeling adventurous? We provide a couple of crab pots if you want to try your luck! Nearest crabbing is off the docks in Waldport, or you may rent a boat there.
