Have you ever wondered if you would be able to "go tiny"? This is your "big" chance to try it out! Our tiny house is located on a small, quiet lake in Frazee, MN, giving you excellent views of the treetops and lakeside. Also want time close to the action? Detroit Lakes boutiques and eats are only a 10 min. drive away. This is your "big" chance to "go tiny" temporarily! We loved tiny house living and hope you will come and experience this lifestyle on our little piece of lakeside paradise! :) We lived in the tiny house for over a year so it's equipped with all the essentials, including a gas stove top, washer/dryer combo, microwave, small oven, and refrigerator. The giant windows illuminate the 269 sq. ft. of bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed space. There is a queen sized pull out couch on the lower level and a queen sized bed in the loft. Four people can sleep comfortably in the tiny house, but you'll definitely want to get outside and sit on the large deck for gathering if there are 2+ people staying. You will wake up to a beautiful lake view out the main window or if you're lucky, with a deer out back! When the evening comes, enjoy stunning sunsets over the water from the dock. Stick around outside after the sun goes down for stargazing in the endless sky on the dock. QUIRKS This home has a composting toilet (which smells like dirt - not like an outhouse, even when full). Experience the interesting (and honestly, not as scary as you may expect) quirks of tiny living & decrease your carbon footprint at the same time. The tiny house has a 28 gallon holding tank (similar to a camper with “gray water”) so we ask that you please be mindful and conserve water as you’re able. PARKING Our cabin is located next to the tiny house and a shared, open space is in between. In addition to our vehicle, two vehicles can comfortably fit on the yard next to the tiny house. BOATS There is NO PUBLIC ACCESS POINT for putting in a boat/jet ski, and no accessible point to do so from our property. No bonfires allowed at this time due to safety concerns. The cabin has a giant deck with access to steps leading to our dock. This is a shared area where you can eat, grill, and enjoy. The mature trees around the deck offer perfect shade on hot days so you can enjoy a bird's eye view of the lake while sipping your morning coffee or grilling lunch. We are west facing, so sunsets from the dock are stunning! There is a farm (no other cabins) directly across from us, so the view offers you peaceful solitude with nature humming around you. We will be at the cabin on site frequently along with our pup. Either way, we will be in contact with you for check-in and check-out. You are welcome to reach out with any questions during your stay. Situated right on the lake, our adorable slice of paradise is located only 10 minutes from the boutiques and unique eats of Detroit Lakes. Get the best of both worlds with an afternoon of activities in town, a stroll down the road under a canopy of trees, and an enchanting evening watching the sun set from this quiet, west facing lake. There is a farm directly across from our cabin, so the view from our dock is unobstructed, natural beauty. Stars are ample especially on a clear night. This is the perfect place for stargazing! If you forgot the chips and dip, there is a small grocery store just down the road a couple miles or you can venture to Detroit Lakes to the town grocery store, Aldi, or Walmart. The World's Largest Turkey (not living ;) ) is down the road and a fun little stop. If you are a biker or runner, a beautiful, long trail is close by and hugs the nearby lakes. Looking to dine on the best of the best? Spanky's Stone Hearth is located only 5 minutes away and has fantastic food on the lake that never disappoints. We have two paddle boards and two kayaks available to use. For safety and liability, life jackets are required to use either. We have four available for you to use. Fishing is great on this lake for crappies, and sunnies. You can fish from the kayaks or from the dock. Please bring your own fishing gear if you plan to fish! Reminder: There is no public boat / jet ski access on this lake or from our property.
