The cottage is ideal for young families or couples, being mainly on the ground floor. Dogs are welcome and there is a small enclosed garden. Fast WiFi, parking in front of the cottage, well equipped and with a real log stove for those cold winter nights. The space 6 Seatown is a traditional fisherman’s cottage, built around 1850. It provides comfortable and cosy accommodation in a stunning location, just opposite the photogenic remains of the old bridge to the East Beach and an easy walk to the woods along the river’s edge. The cottage is a real home from home, where we hope you will feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Please note that the price quoted is a total price and there is no service fee uplift! The cottage has a ground floor king size double bedroom and bathroom as well as the lounge/dining area and open plan kitchen. This makes it ideal for couples, those with young families, or those with limited mobility. Due to their low ceilings, the rooms upstairs are only really suitable for younger children, but there is a twin bedroom and play room with bean bags, a selection of children's toys and books and a second TV. 6 Seatown is cosy and intimate and has a sheltered and secluded garden. There is on street parking in front of the cottage and all modern amenities such as WiFi, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Your four legged friends are welcome and will love the walks from the door. Lossiemouth is compact, but has the necessary shops, restaurants and pubs. It is ideal, not just for a beach, golfing or fishing holiday, but also for touring the Malt Whisky and Castle trails, as well as longer day trips to places such as the Cairngorms National Park, Inverness or Loch Ness. There’s so much to see and do in our coastal town in Moray. From the two vast sandy beaches edged with rugged coastline to the majestic lighthouse and the RAF fast jets. From the dolphins, ospreys and abundant wildlife to the Northern Lights. There are two fine golf courses at the Moray Golf Club. The Old Course is considered to be one of the finest links courses in Scotland, while the new course is tighter and more technical. While at Covesea, there’s a separate pay and play 9-hole course, pitch and putt and driving range. There’s even a wee crazy golf for the kids! Of course, we wouldn’t be a seaside town if we couldn’t offer you ice cream and fish and chips! But explore a little further to find what else we have here, from homebaking to fresh lobster and traditional Scottish fayre. And to top it off, the Lossie area is drier and has more sunshine hours than the rest of Scotland - and no midges either! What is there not to love! Guest access Guests have access to the whole house and a garden shed which houses the garden furniture, barbeque and tumble dryer and has room to store guests' bikes if they want to bring them. There is also a small enclosed garden, through the blue gate, which is sheltered and can be a bit of a sun trap! Other things to note Green Things We try to manage our all our cottages in as sustainable a manner as possible. We recycle everything and provide information so our guests can do the same. We are aiming to reduce our use of plastics, by refilling (handsoaps) or sourcing products without plastic packaging (toilet paper, detergents etc). We both drive electric vehicles. I try not to use the tumble dryer, whatever the weather, line drying sheets and towels outside whenever possible. And we have recommendations of local activites, food suppliers and attractions so you can reduce your carbon footprint once you are here. A small start perhaps, but a step in the right direction!
