Charming well-appointed beach cottage is located in Salvo on the ocean side and only a short 3-minute stroll down the resident-only private street to the beach entrance! Water Tribe is a 1500 square foot home, a unique OBX property and has everything you need to make the most out of your beach vacation. Start your day with a morning coffee on the quaint screened in porch or end your day relaxing in the private hot tub taking in the sights and sounds of wildlife in the marsh. The space Water Tribe is a lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath oceanside cottage in a great location. It is located on Wimble Shores Drive, a resident-only street with resident only access to the beach. After a short walk (3 minutes) down the street, you can access the sandy path to the beach for a day in the sun – surfing, kiteboarding, stand-up paddle boarding, fishing or just relaxing. The first floor layout offers an open concept kitchen, dining and living room area. The living room offers a working gas fireplace creating a cozy environment during a cooler season. There is a large TV with an Amazon Firestick to enjoy your favorite Netflix or Amazon prime programming. If you plan on doing some work while on vacation, enjoy high-speed business class internet in the cottage. As for the kitchen, this is our family house and we love to cook so our kitchen is very well equipped with things like kitchen aid mixers, blenders, cuisinart food processor, pizza stone, great knives etc. We also can't live without our morning coffee so there are several different ways to make your favorite cup of joe in the morning. Whether you like a french press, a fancy cappuccino or a good ole' drip coffee machine, we have them all. A queen bedroom and a bedroom with twin size bunk beds are located on the first level too just off the living space. A full bathroom is also located on this level with a tub shower and plenty of hooks to hang towels and wet swimsuits. The screened in porch is located right off of the kitchen and is the perfect place to enjoy a meal. There is also an unscreened area on the deck which houses the hot tub so you can enjoy a nice soak at the end of a long day of surf and sand. The master bedroom with a king size bed has a cathedral ceiling and ensuite bathroom is located on the 2nd level. The ensuite bathroom offers a large tiled shower. The master has two large closets and a TV equipped with an Amazon firestick. Open the windows at the head of the bed and allow the sounds of the ocean to lull you to sleep at night. The 2nd level also includes a small loft area with a double bed daybed for sleeping or curling up with a good book for some quiet time. The laundry room is located on the lowest level at the entrance. Outside Water Tribe offers an outside shower with storage for beach gear, a fish cleaning station, a hammock and well lit gas grill area for grilling at night. There are beach chairs and a beach umbrella at your disposal as well. These are located in the storage/dressing room next to the outdoor shower. Water Tribe is located in Salvo; perfect for beach lovers, and water sport enthusiasts alike! The cottage is conveniently located a bike ride away from Waves Market for killer burritos, beer or other items on your shopping list. Guest access You have access to the entire home, deck, hot tub, parking, and yard. Other things to note We love Water Tribe and hope you will love it as much as we do! This is not just an Airbnb, but a place we come to unwind and enjoy with our family. It is our family home. We appreciate you leaving everything in it where you found it. We appreciate your leaving all the linens and decorations in our home. Please treat our home as you would hope someone would treat yours. Our house is inventoried after each guest stay any items including linens and or even the smallest of decorations found missing will be considered theft and you will be charged. For our guests who smoke, please…only outside and be sure to clean up debris. Please help keep our home smoke free for the enjoyment of all our guests. Remember to keep doors and windows closed when the heat or AC are in use. Please do not lower the thermostat below 72 degrees while using the AC. Any lower setting will cause the AC to freeze and stop functioning. We are on a septic system, PLEASE no grease in the drains and do not overload the toilets with paper, use the trash for other items. Please keep the fridge temperature controls on the medium setting. The units have been opened more on departure day and it may take up to 12 hours for the fridge to reach optimal cooling after your arrival.
