Two private rooms, one semi-private room with pullout couch, with a private bath in a single story home surrounded by nature on a 10 acre plot. Hillside views, animals, and quiet. Four different patios to enjoy. Breakfast is included. Close to everything; 1.5 hours from Tahoe, 2 hours to Napa. Enjoy your bedrooms with two queen sized beds, sitting areas, free WiFi, and a private bath. Plus, full access to the kitchen and fridge stocked with your favorite (complimentary) breakfast items! In addition, your pets (all pets) are welcome at our home! Prior notification is required for safety and comfort for all pets. Please provide the following: type, breed, gender, and number that will be joining you and we will ensure all accommodations are set for your arrival. Your space(s) are the guest bedrooms of a three bedroom, single story house. You get two rooms for the price of one. Your room(s) and private bathroom are located on one side of the house and the owners stay in the master bedroom on the other side. These two areas are separated by the living room and kitchen. Owners will be as present or scarce as you want. The bedrooms both feature a queen bed with a three inch foam mattress and lots of pillows for your comfort. The rooms also feature sitting areas that allows you to look out the window over the peaceful lawn. If you are bringing more than 2 guests, there is an additional $30 a night/person. We can make accommodations up to 12 guests. There is another semi-private room with a pull-out couch, plus we could provide blow-up mattresses for 4 additional quests (possibly more since we have lots of blow-up mattresses and plenty of space to fit everyone). Pre-arrangement with owner is required for more than 4 to ensure you have comfort for your entire party. The private bath features towels, travel-size shampoos, conditioners, soaps, and shower gels. There are also lots of complimentary samples and mini toiletries if you forget anything. Blow dryer is provided as well. Need anything additional, just ask – we just might have it! Please note, the home has three-four small steps into the house and is not ADA accessible. There is an entrance gate for security and privacy. The gate code will be provided upon confirmed reservation. For your convenience, we will provide an automatic clicker during your stay to avoid punching the code going into the property. Also, there is plenty of parking! We can even accomodate an RV with a 50 amp electrity hook-up if required! Guests have access to their room and all other areas of the property. The house features two game rooms, kitchen, dining room, living room and four outdoor patios. Smoking is not allowed within the house, however, ashtrays are provided at each patio for those who smoke. The two game rooms are available for use with prior approval. These game rooms include a full size pool table, full size arcades, 2 Star Wars Pinball machines, and various different shooting arcade games (i.e. House of the Dead, Area 51, etc). Matt builds these arcades himself and loves to talk about them. (Maybe you can convince him to sell 1 or 2 - please take them with you when you leave. Shhhhhh - it's our secret!) There are 4 outdoor patios with plenty of tables and chairs. The Patio at the back of the house is secluded from everything. It’s a very quiet place to relax after an adventurous day. There is also a patio off the dining room and is perfect for morning coffee. The other two patios are close to the greenhouse. These are great places to watch the sun rise over the hillside and you may catch a view of wild turkeys or a herd of deer walking by. In addition, these are great places to watch our rescued animals (alpacas and goats). This is also one of our favorite places to be at sunset. Note: For your safety, you are not allowed to enter the enclosure with the goats and apacas without an escort. The living room features a 65 inch flat screen television with Direct TV (all movie channels included). You can also access various streaming services from each of the TVs. The living room also has an X-Box 360. Note: All operating instructions will be on the coffee table and within your provided welcome packet. The kitchen has all you need (and then some). You can help yourself to condiments in the fridge and any spices. The property has a greenhouse and lots of organic fruits and vegetables – depending on the season. Please ask and we will gladly share these items. Be sure to email breakfast item requests in advance and your items will be available upon your arrival. In addition, Kat loves to cook and makes enough food for many people – you are welcome to join us for dinner! Guests can also access the washer and dryer at no additional cost. Detergent supplied. There is an iron and ironing board available in the laundry room. Matt and Kat (homeowners) both work full-time. Matt and Kat can be available or scarce – whichever would make you more comfortable. If you check in during the workday, please be sure to let us know around the time of your arrival and we will be available to meet you. We are available to recommend fun places to visit or eat, and are happy to give directions, but also respect your space and privacy. We will provide you with a welcome packet that will contain all this information. Sophie (homeowner’s dog) sleeps inside the house. Sophie is an American Dingo (Carolina Dog), female, and spayed. She spends the majority of her day with Matt and Kat. She will either be in the fenced yard or in the master bedroom; we will keep her out of your way as much as possible. Also, she tends to give a few barks at strangers and strange noices, but we will keep her on the other side of the house. Feel free to check in with one of us for whatever you need. We are available by text, call, email any time! Note: Quiet time Sunday – Thursday 11 p.m. – 6 a.m. The house is located in the small town of historic Rescue on a 10 acre parcel next to a small winery. The parcel is at the edge of a rural community and close to many mainstream conveniences and attractions. For example, a 30 minute drive will take you to the gold discovery site that started the California Gold Rush. The house is also centrally located to do some local wine tasting. In addition, Starbucks is 2 miles away and just 4 miles down the road is the Safeway shopping center which has groceries, brew pubs, brew tasting room, burgers, pizza, etc. Our neighborhood is located 11 miles from downtown, historic Folsom and around 40 miles from Sacramento International Airport. The house is 1.5 hour drive to South Lake Tahoe, 2 hour dive to Napa, and 2.5 – 3 hour drive to downtown San Francisco. There is plenty of parking at the house and the house is close to many conveniences as indicated. Because of the rural location of the property, car rental will be essential. Your welcome packet will include information about the surrounding area. We also have maps and travel books of the area to review. We would be happy to assist you with any tours, i.e. wine tasting tours, city tours, etc. Four patios to enjoy. One patio is at the back of the house, close to the game rooms and is extremely secluded. One in the front of the house; great for morning coffee. The other two patios are located near the greenhouse; great for watching both sunrises and sunsets. All patios have tables and chairs; three of them have heaters. Karaoke Party (Hosted) for your group is available for an extra charge. We have a large selection of songs (~20K) and the songs are extremely current. We also have different languages with our song books including Spanish and Chinese. Mountain / Road Bikes and Kayaks are available for an extra charge. Kayak rentals include drop off and pick up. Please let us know in advance to schedule your kayak trip. We can assist you with an All-day River Trip or just to Kayak around the Natomas Lake.
