Cute Cabin in St. Helen, Close to ORV trails

Adorable Cabin that sleeps 2. Roscommon is 12 miles away has hiking trails and kayaking/canoeing on the Ausuble River. St. Helen is surrounded by State land so great place to hunt or fish. Thirty minutes from Higgins Lake, the 6th most beautiful lake in the U.S. Grayling is 30 minutes away and has canoeing. Lots of hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing within 30 minutes. ORV trails are at the end of road. St Helen has a State beach that is 1.5 miles away. Great place to relax by the fire. The space This cabin is cute and a good getaway. It is close to state parks and small towns that offer different activities. Other things to note •What is around? oThe Hen House has a nice selection for breakfast and dinner. The Peach Pit has a good breakfast but I have heard the dinner is not so good. I would avoid No Limits Pizza, as we did not care for the food. In Roscommon, we like Fred’s (they have bowling there too) and in West Branch we like The Lumber Jack. oThere is a Louis Market down St. Helen Road for groceries. There is a Walmart in West Branch at Exit 212 or Houghton Lake at Exit 227. There is a Meijer in West Branch exit 215. There is a grocery store and McDonalds in Roscommon (which is about 12 miles away). You can rent canoes/kayaks in both Roscommon (we use Campbell’s), or Grayling (we use Carlilse’s or Penrod’s). oThe beach is 1.5 miles away. There is a County Park and a State Park, and they are right next to each other. Our kids love going to the beach. There is a boat ramp and Kayak ramp at the State park. oHiggin Lake is 30 minutes away and has a beautiful beach. You can also rent Pontoon Boats for a day get-away. If you head near the south end of Higgins Lake, there is a restaurant we like called Stream Side. oHoughton Lake has plenty of restaurants and shops. They also have putt-putt golf and boat rentals.
