This fabulous condo sits in the heart of the eclectic commercial drive shopping and restaurant district. Best transit hub! 10 mins to downtown, 5 min walk to major transit lines. Lots of natural light, wood floors. Quiet comfortable private garden patio. Even a bit of a mountain view! Vegan friendly neighbourhood. The space 2 guests will be very comfortable in this open space. The sofa bed is a brand new queen size it is very comfortable with additional foam. I have my own bedroom and your area is blocked off by curtains for privacy. I do not enter your area during your stay however Milo likes to come for a visit. If you don’t want him in your area let me know it’s an issue or use the command “go”. Newly renovated bathroom with ergonomic tub and arm rests for comfort! Lots of light from the windows and patio doors in your area. You will have direct patio access and exclusive use. Including use of the Patio set, BBQ, and cozy hammock in the spring/summer. Your patio is not shared as I have my own small patio area and access. The patio has a private enclosed section for my use, and I leave the main patio for your use. Feel free to close your black out curtains for privacy. Whether they are opened for light or closed I will not enter your area. I also have a Pomeranian, Milo, that comes with me to work everyday. He will steal socks if given the chance. I have provided empty baskets for your things. There are blackout curtains to keep your privacy from the outside and this also allows for a better sleep. This is a bustling neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, clothing stores, cafes, pubs and more. Within a 5 minute walk there is the main skytrain line (Expo and Millennium Line), a Safeway grocery store, Natural market (great for fresh produce), shoppers drug mart, and a great sushi place etc. Enjoy the patio complete with table and chairs for dining and a wonderful hammock in the summertime. Also, please feel free to use the kitchen and dining room and space in the refrigerator. The dining area, kitchen and bathroom is shared so please leave them in the condition you found them in. Also the bathroom has a shelf available for your use as well as the bottom two shelves inside the shower, and feel free to use two hooks in the bathroom for towels. I provide basics like towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is a laundry room in the building which is very cheap as it charges $1.00 per wash and $1.00 per dry. In your area there are storage baskets for your belongings. The front closet has some hanging space as well. If you need more hanging space feel free to let me know. I work full time so I am out of the house quite a bit although I am usually home for dinner. I love my city and am very happy to recommend fun things to do, great places to eat and anything else you might be looking for. I love to have a chat if your interested. However, I know it is important for you to feel like you have your own private space. Feel free to close your curtain divider for privacy. When closing your curtain please leave it draped so I may use the kitchen table as well. Transit in this area could not be better. Bus route to downtown (10 mins), Broadway station on the Canada line metro and UBC right outside the door. Just a 40 min trip to the airport on transit or 20 mins if driving. Commercial drive station, the hub for expo and millennium metro train lines within a 5 min walk. If you are renting a car there is plenty of free street parking in this area. I may be able to arrange under ground garage parking using my neighbours spot for $5 per night. The only parking restriction is directly in front of the condo on Broadway between 3pm-7pm there is no parking. However, the opposite side of the street is free during this time. The parking sign says maximum 2 hrs however, I have left mine overnight and all day with no problems. In the 9 years I have lived here I have not seen a ticket for being parked too long. Just don't park between 3pm-7pm! You can park across the street during that time though. Only 1 block from major bike routes. Also, please feel free to use the shared kitchen and shared dining room and space in the refrigerator. I spend most of my time in my room to allow you privacy. Keep in mind the kitchen and dining room table is shared. I need to be able to use the table too. Please feel free to knock on my door for questions or a chat. Other things to note There is a shared laundry room in the building however the price is good. Only $1.25 per wash and $1.25 per dry. Also, I do have a dog however, I am very diligent about keeping the house hair and smell free. Many people comment that it is very clean! I used to have severe pet allergies that have improved over long term exposure so this has made me very diligent about keeping pet hair to a minimum. My dog Milo comes with me to work and sleeps in my room at night. The place is not baby proofed. Children are welcome. Please no smoking on the property. If you need early bag drop off I will do my best however, there is a great drop off service called Portergenie. Portergenie will pick up, store, and drop off your bags wherever and whenever you like for a flat rate.
