The space Since 2005, we've offered this centrally located casita in Tucson's Blenman Elm mid-century neighborhood for short term rentals. Tucson's Blenman Elm is a great place for walkers & their pets (we are pet friendly!) . Enjoy mountain views, spring cactus, citrus blossoms and sunsets. You have easy access to many attractions, restaurants, and day to day needs. Start your day in your private backyard with a cup of coffee, and some Tucson sun. This 1950's duplex, is well built, comfortable & quiet. You'll feel at home here in Tucson's heart. This property is one side of a solidly built 1950's duplex. It is well built, so you don't realize that you have a neighbor, except if you meet outside. Your neighbor will be another traveler there for any time period from one week, to 3 or more months, vacationing, working temporarily in Tucson, for short term studies at the UofA, or UMC, or in transition between homes, or any other number of reasons. Each rental has its own laundry, its own drive, its own carport, and its own backyard. If you have a pet, it will be safely contained in your own backyard with a wall dividing the two yards. The rental includes the following: 1 Bedroom, queen bed Hide-a-bed in Living room Shower only bathroom TV and wifi Kitchen Private Washer/Dryer A/C Private drive Carport Pet Friendly Enclosed backyard No stairs No neighbors above or below you The property is centrally located with nearly all attractions within 20-30 minutes drive. Downtown is about 8 -10 minutes drive away. University of Arizona Medical Center is about 5 minutes drive away, walking distance, or easy biking distance if you like. Grocery stores, restaurants, drugstores are with in one mile. The Kingfisher, a popular seafood restaurant, Culinary Dropout, Postino's, Snooze, Dante's, Bobo's (great breakfast place) and Benny's Mexican are all good restaurants within an easy few blocks walk. Guest access This rental is part of a duplex. The opposite unit is rented to other visitors like yourselves. They range from vacationers, to temporary stays by professionals from many different industries, to graduate students, or students on sabatical attending/visiting the University of Arizona. The property is pet friendly. It has a fully enclosed, fairly large backyard (separated from the neighbor with a wall. You'll love walking your pets in the neighborhoods with many streets providing alternate routes for your daily walks. Other things to note This property is great for people who, for a multitude of reasons, travel to Tucson. The central location makes it an ideal place to enjoy Tucson. Location, and the cozy charm of the accommodations are reasons we enjoy repeat business from traveling medical professionals, graduate students from around the world, business travelers, snowbirds, and vacationers. Savings tip: For those who are looking for a stay in the 25 to 30 day range, keep an eye on the bed taxes. Pima County (or and some other counties for that matter) encourages you to stay longer than 30 days. Input different dates in ABBs estimator, to see where the taxes drop out. You may find it cheaper to book for 30 days rather than a slightly shorter stay, because stays over 30 days will not be charged bed, and sales taxes. You can still stay for just 26 or 27 days, but you will only be charged the pro-rated monthly rate, with out the taxes. I don't mind if the property is vacant a few days (or if you change plans and decide to stay through the full 30 days)! The discount that we offer for long stays, is already included in ABBs displayed total price.
