Vacation home (115 sqm) with garden The space The cottage can accommodate up to 4 people on 115 square meters and two floors. In the former sheepfold you will find the spacious entrance hall of the vacation home. The cottage has an open living and dining area with a dining table, sofa, two armchairs and a TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, toaster, microwave and coffee machine. The cottage has two separate bedrooms. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed, the other bedroom with two single beds. The modern daylight bathroom has a shower, bathtub, toilet, sink, cosmetic mirror and hairdryer. On the first floor of the vacation home there is a separate toilet. Towels and linens are provided free of charge. You can also use the Wi-Fi free of charge during your stay. Infants up to and including 3 years in the extra bed free (cot available), by arrangement. The new barn sauna is available at any time (additional fee). "HELLO" IN OUR VACATION HOUSE IN THE UPPER FRANCONIAN FOUR-SIDED FARM BETWEEN FRANKENWALD AND FICHTEL MOUNTAINS Our Austragshaus is located in the Franconian village of Almbranz with 100 inhabitants. Far away from tourist metropolitan areas and in an idyllic environment, we invite you to unwind and find relaxation. The Austragshaus is a separate part of our Vierseithof. Located between the Franconian Forest and the Fichtel Mountains, our farm is a good starting point to recharge your batteries in the surrounding nature – extensive walks and hikes or leisurely bike tours in the middle of the countryside. The adjacent low mountain ranges are a paradise for winter sports and the nearby Untreusee and the Förmitztalspeicher invite you to cool off. The Way of St. James leads directly through our village. ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION The Austragshaus used to be a nice idea: After a life of hard farming work, there was suddenly nothing more to do, so you retired to the Austragshaus. The young generation took over the reins – the farm was handed over. From the Austragshaus, the parents watched the lively hustle and bustle on the other side. They were still there, in the middle of it, but they had the proper distance. Our guests are allowed to live in the entire Austragshaus today and watch our daily work. The house has been carefully renovated, expanded and partly rebuilt over the years. The house has two bedrooms on 115 square meters, ideal for 2 or up to 4 people, a new bathroom, a kitchen, a large living room with dining area and the former sheepfold as an entrance hall. The furnishings are partly modern but also timeless – always with love for the traditional. HISTORY AND PRESENT OF THE FARM Our farm, whose history dates back to 1770, is one of the oldest farms in our village and has always been family-owned. The farm was cultivated until the middle of the last century. With great dedication and empathy, we have renovated the property piece by piece. The house is a historic tailcoat roof house and is now a listed building. From 2021, the expansion of the discharge house into a vacation home began. We are firmly rooted in our home region and love to surround ourselves with beautiful things. Inspired by our peasant ancestors and the joy of living in and with nature, a potato and vegetable field, a house garden, a meadow orchard, a cultivated forest and our small hobby chicken farm still belong to the farm today. We have always enjoyed welcoming and hosting friends from near and far. We would like to share our home, in which we have invested all our passion, with you and welcome you warmly. Other things to note Arrival is possible from 2 pm to 8 pm or by appointment. Departure is possible until 11 am. The key is handed over personally on site. Pets are allowed upon request. Toddlers up to and including 3 years of age are free in the extra bed (crib available), by arrangement. Breakfast can be offered, by arrangement on site. The new barn sauna is available for guests (additional fee).
