Settle into this uniquely tranquil getaway only 20 minutes from Brattleboro, 50 minutes to Stratton and other nearby skiing. Swimming and kayaking on property and nearby. If you are looking for comfort, privacy and beauty, come enjoy our happily lived-in home. The space The Kitchen, Mudroom, Dining Room, Main Living Room and Back Living Room, Master Bedroom (QB) and Back Field Bedroom, and two full baths are on the first floor, including the master suite with a hall dressing room and full bathroom. The second floor has four bedrooms: the Mowing Room (QB), the Sleigh Bed Room (DB), the Guest Room (QB & SB), and the Bunk Bed Room (2 BNKBDs) with its diamond window and crib. Every bedroom has stunning views, and four of them look out over the lower pond. The Mowing Room and the Sleigh Bed Room have commanding views of the Mowing (an open hill that, like the rest of our hay fields, is mowed for hay several times a year by our local organic farmer). The Master Bedroom looks out across the back fields, barn and lower pond, as does the Back Field Bedroom. Guest access Guests have access to all of the living spaces (including the fully stocked pantry!), both ponds, and 200 acres of uncut forest and trails. For safety and privacy reasons, we ask that guests not enter the attics or shed. Other things to note Access to the house is by lockbox key. The house does have an alarm, that includes smoke, heat, freeze and forced-entry detection.
