FOUR STAR AMAZING SPACE, IN A SCENIC, AWARD WINNING VILLAGE .
Cosy 4 star home in a lovely village at the foot of the Silvermines Mountains. 2 super king beds, 2 bath, wifi 42" TV, best of comforts, local shop and pub! Nenagh market town is 5km for bars, cafés & shops. Dublin, Galway, Cork are 1.30 hours drive away. The space The Old Forge II, is officially listed by the Irish tourist board as 4 star rated. It is set in a courtyard next to the oldest stone house in the village, and on the site of the old forge. On arrival, you will be greeted with a welcome basket of goodies to get you started and your log burner ready to light! There are 2 generous double bedrooms that comfortably sleep 4 in super king size beds. These can be separated to make 4 large single beds. A baby cot and high chair are available on request. There is a log fire, power showers, 42" Smart TV with cable and Irish channels. A DVD player, docking station with radio and CD player, and free WiFi. High quality kitchen with granite worktop, dishwasher, microwave, oven, hob, GF grill, fridge freezer. Laundry facilities, comprising of washing machines, tumble dryers, drying racks, & sink. There is a courtyard garden. All water for your services is via a water harvesting system, saving all of the rainwater to recycle back for use. Silvermines village has a local pub full of charm and character(s). There is a village shop for groceries, artisan breads, and newspapers, etc. For the active there are so many walking and cycling trails, mountain bike forest, horse riding, golf, fishing and water sports; all available within 10 to 30 mins drive away. There is also a walking trail with a picnic area in the village, alongside the stream. There are preserved stone buildings called Cornish steam engine houses which were used in the 1800s to facilitate the mining of tin & zinc. The lovely Georgian market town of Nenagh, has bars, cafés, boutiques, restaurants and a farmers market. It also has a Norman castle, a heritage & genealogy centre to help find your ancestors. All of this is a 10 minute drive away. In the surrounding area, there are many wonderful "way-marked" loop trails for walking and biking. Search irishtrails ie, location - Tipperary and look around the Nenagh area. . There are other outdoor activities, such as horseriding, & a mountain bike forest. The stunning Lough Derg for fishing, sailing and other watersports, golf, tennis, and lots more. The golden sandy beach of Kilkee is a 1.30 hour drive away, which has a dive centre and the best diving in Ireland. For larger bookings, both homes sleep 8 in total, making it a great place for larger gatherings, yet having your own space when you need it. Guest access Guests have access to the landscaped garden. Free street parking is always available. The laundry room is shared by both homes. Sorry, no access to the main house. Other things to note There might be other guests staying at the same time, if you are occupying only one of the accommodations. The Old Forge 2 is not wheelchair accessible. It is accessed by an external stone staircase. The accommodation is on 2 levels.
