Whether you're in town for business or to explore the city, this is one of Portland's finest locations with a straight shot to downtown and mere blocks from Stumptown coffee, the restaurants/bars on Division, Belmont and Hawthorne, Biketown bike share, Mt. Tabor and Laurelhurst Park, New Season's, H-Mart, Powell's books and Bagdad theater. This modern tiny house is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood, and yet, right in the middle of everything a Portland visit requires. This two-story tiny house has a full kitchen with a gas range, a washer-dryer combo, a truly comfortable bed, radiant heat for socked feet, 13 windows, 3 skylights and two red dutch doors. We recently installed a ladder up to the loft for daydreaming, yoga, reading or star gazing. For those rare Portland days or nights when you'd rather stay in there's a book collection of short stories and Netflix. There is a walkway back to the house with motion sensor lights to help coming and going easy. The wrap around porch and side yard patio is ideal for morning coffee or an afternoon beer. We have recently moved out of the main house and headed off on an adventure to Casablanca, Morocco. The family living in the main house has no connection to the tiny house, but they are super friendly so feel free to say hello in passing. They also have a friendly dog who you might see during your stay. The tiny house is being managed while were away by Wes's sister Gretchen. She is more than happy to answer questions, offer suggestions and help in any way to make sure your stay is perfect, but with a private key pad entry the tiny house is set up to offer guests as much privacy as they wish. Sunnyside is close to everything. In between Belmont and Hawthorne you get to be in the middle of a quiet neighborhood, but blocks from so much fun. Downtown is a ten minute bike ride. Mt. Tabor is thirty or so blocks the other way. You are 10 minutes from Sellwood. 10 minutes from Mississippi and Alberta. But the neighborhood is so great you'd be fine not to leave. We have off-street parking where close spots are not hard to find. Walking is safe at all hours. There are two bike rental stations four blocks in either directions. Public transportation runs every fifteen minutes and your 3 blocks from the closest stop.
