The "Villa” is a beautifully repurposed hop kiln. The kiln was built in 1860 to dry the hop flowers for the beer industry. The kiln features, colonial Huon Pine kitchen , gas oven, Rayburn wood stove and dining area. Period bathroom, spacious master bedroom with a queen size bed, couch, writing desk. Second bedroom includes 1 queen size bed,1 single bed if required, sports equipment, board games and books. Family room includes Dining Table, Smart TV, speaker. Fabulous deck and BBQ The space The residence has been converted from an 19th century hop kiln and serves as colonial accommodation. It features large expansive rooms, a peaceful recreational spaces, and modern conveniences. Direct to scenic walks, 10 minute walk to the high street and only 25 minutes from Hobart. We are pet friendly, however, and the property is securely fenced but we do appreciate full disclosure of vaccines in the interest of your animals safety Guest access Guests have access to the villa and grounds. Woodwork classes operate on occasions throughout the year. There is ample secure car parking but not undercover. Other things to note The parkland and river setting lends itself to walking, cycling, relaxing, boating, fishing. Its a romantic setting and ideal for families, BBQ's and entertaining.
