It’s the perfect base for visiting Newcastle and Northumbria. As mentioned below, the penthouse is on a road leading into the centre. Most people don’t notice the noise hence our amazing reviews, but if you’re a light sleeper or you’re affected by traffic noise - this may not be suitable for you. This beautiful apartment is in an exclusive development on the beautiful Newcastle Quayside. Please note that this development is on a road and therefore the double glazed penthouse will have some road noise. You may not notice it unless you’re a light sleeper. It's a truly whimsical space offering: One king sized bedroom with Simba mattress, cast iron bed, bespoke hand painted furniture and HomePod (Apple's sound system with Siri assistant). One double room with handmade copper lamps, hand painted furniture and a friendly knitted sheep stool. One ensuite shower with toilet and hand basin and another full bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and handbasin. Separate fully equipped breakfast kitchen with table and chairs, microwave, fridge, freezer, oven and hob, washer/dryer and dishwasher plus trillions of eclectic crockery, cooking utensils and wine glasses, laundry tablets, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, bin liners etc and so on. Also tea, coffee, sugar, and milk. Large living/dining room with a half Cathedral ceiling, half wall of windows and a Juliette balcony overlooking the river. Copper and oak dining table and pink velvet Chesterfield. This light comfortable room is finished with a handmade copper pulley lamp, Apple TV and HomePod. Also you won't be stuck for books as we have a great selection of novels and travel books. ( I find that reading travel books is cheaper and easier than actually going) Beautifully grassed roof garden with potted flowers, a pretend zoo (well a mosaic pig, a metal peacock, a green frog and a handmade robin) and outstanding views. There's an outside light and comfortable wicker seating with a table to put your glass of wine, cup of tea and sun tan lotion when it's hot. We're on the more popular and sunnier south facing Newcastle side of the river - so just walk down the steps opposite and you're on the Quayside. Free parking for two cars - one in secured fob activated parking and one outside in very safe parking. Please note that this outside parking isn't a guaranteed space - however in 19 years - we've always found a spot. Elevator for after a hard day's sightseeing or shopping or if you're not a fan of stairs. TV and broadband. This is property is not suitable for children under 2, parties or large gatherings, including hen parties, stag parties or loud music. We like to look after our apartment and our neighbours and we like our guests to as well. It's the perfect place for chatting, dining and eating, relaxing, sleeping well and visiting this beautiful part of the world. We love our apartment and we're sure you will too. We ask that you take care of it while we're away and leave it lovely for our cleaner. Guest access You'll access the apartment building and the apartment by using keys that we'll provide from double secure combination key boxes. You'll have access to the whole apartment apart from my office. You'll also notice that although there will be plenty of space for your stuff - some of the cupboards and drawers won't be available for your use, as this is our home when we're in Newcastle. Don't worry about bringing tin foil or cooking oil or salt and pepper or tea bags - just use ours. This apartment is offered to you in the true spirit of Airbnb so enjoy your temporary home in Newcastle. Other things to note This property is not suitable for parties or large gatherings, including hen parties, stag parties or loud music. We like our guests to be good neighbours. This is a beautifully designed, lovely space in a great location and we like to keep it well cared for and smart for residents and guests. We ask our guests to follow the usual courtesies of leaving the apartment tidy and wiped down for the cleaner, with doors and windows closed and lights off. Do also make us aware of any damages.
