Absolutely no motorized vehicles anywhere but the driveway. Other things to note Fireplace Safety and Instructions Cedar Sky Ranch is in a high risk zone for wildfires. It is imperative to be vigilant and responsible when using fireplaces. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call your hosts for clarification. There are three wood burning fireplaces on the property, two inside the house and on the outdoor patio area. There are no gas starters, so you'll need to build your own fire. The living room fireplace is very large. There is a round dial on the wall to the right of the fireplace that controls the fan. The fan draws the air up and out the chimney. You'll need to keep the fan on the entire time you have a fire going, and for a long period of time after your fire goes out to prevent smoke from flowing into the house. Even the smoldering coals can produce quite a bit of smoke. We recommend keeping the fan on overnight after using the fireplace. The wood burning stove in the study (adjacent the living room) has a much smaller interior. You'll need to use wood that is no longer than 12" in length. Be sure to keep the flue open to maintain airflow by pulling the lever on the left side of the stove "out." There is a fan on the stove that circulates the warm air back into the room. That fan plugs into the wall outlet to the left of the stove with a standard plug on a cord. Registration details CESTRP-2021-02609
