Situated in a quiet road within the heart of the historic market town, Stow-on-the-Wold, in a short row of cottages, you will find the lovely Primrose Cottage. Built in the 18th century, the cottage has been freshly renovated, yet still holding its character such as exposed wooden beams and charming woodburning stove. Ideal for families or groups of friends, sleeping up to four guests, Primrose Cottage is a splendid choice for your getaway to the Cotswolds. Upon arrival in the quiet road, park your car in the nearby road and approach the property through the lovely courtyard garden, where the front door opens into the well-appointed and contemporary kitchen where you will find everything you require to make a delicious home-cooked meal to enjoy at the dining table with your guests and plan your itinerary for your wonderful trip to the Cotswolds, or if the weather permits, eat your dinner alfresco style in the little courtyard with outdoor table and chairs to the front of the property. The sitting room is little, yet homely and warming, and has plenty of character including exposed oak beams and woodburning stove which is perfect for chilly winter nights. When sleep calls, make your way up the stairs to the first floor where you will have a choice of two relaxing bedrooms; the master containing a double bed and second bedroom containing twin beds. The bathroom finishing the first floor off nicely, contains a bath for you to relax in after a long day of travelling or exploring. Note: This is an old property with character features, including steep stairs and low beams, which is laid out over two floors, and could therefore pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility. Note: The property’s courtyard garden is enclosed; however, the neighbouring properties have a right of access through this garden, which could result in the gate to the road or the gate to the neighbouring property not being closed properly. Note: Logs for the woodburning stove are provided under a fair usage policy (there is an honesty box for contributions towards the cost of logs used). Note: A telephone is provided, with an honesty box for the cost of calls made (no international calls).Note: Neighbouring property Spinners Cottage can be booked in conjunction with Primrose Cottage.Note: The Stow Horse Fair is held twice a year, on the Thursday closest to 12th May and the Thursday closest to 24th October, this is a traditional fair for people to meet up and trade which dates back to 1476 when its Charter was granted; Stow is very busy for a day or two before and after each fair, and a number of shops, pubs and restaurants are closed.
