Cozy Cattail Cottage Coastal Woodland Retreat

The Cottage is one of 2 vacation rentals located on our secluded waterfront property comfortably designed for the quiet nature loving traveler. A great place to getaway, unplug, and relax, this 2 bedroom home can serve as your base camp for exploring the central Oregon Coast. The space The Cozy Cattail is currently available to book with a 3 night minimum stay. We are currently blocking 1 day before and after each guest to allow extra time to air out and sanitize between guests. The Cottage is a 2 bedroom home which comes fully furnished with 2 Queensize Beds. It is most comfortable for 2 persons but does sleep 4. Base price is based on double occupancy with a little more for extra guests. Comforters, blankets, pillows, and clean sheets are supplied along with a washer and dryer. Wall Heaters in each room for convenient heat Ceiling Fan in the kitchen A Portable Fan is also available for that rare day over 80 degrees The kitchen with beautiful Myrtlewood Cabinets is fully supplied with stove, microwave, refrigerator, Coffee pot, drip coffee pot, toaster, dishes, pans, utensils, and dish soap. Just bring the groceries. The bathroom is supplied with a shower/tub, hairdryer, clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, soaps. There is a play pen and high chair for the little one. There's a Blue ray DVD player with a selection of movies for your enjoyment as well as a Bose Wave radio/CD player Games, puzzles and books are available for your use A landline phone for incoming and local calls. The cottage has a large covered porch with plenty of seating, picnic table and a charcoal grill available for your use when fire season permits. The Cottage is our only pet friendly rental. There is a $50 pet fee for up to 2 dogs. Please let us know if you are bringing a pet. Please clean up and keep your dog close and supervised at all times. And please Never leave them at the Cottage unattended. Guest access Guests have use of the whole house. The chairs at the waters edge are shared with the Cabin guests. You are welcome to bring your own canoe or kayaks and launch them from the edge of the slough. Just time your kayak/canoe trip with the high tide. Other things to note Due to the hillsides secluding our little valley there is usually NO cell phone reception, internet or television reception at the Cottage. However there is intermittent cell phone reception sometimes available at the chairs by the dock and more reliable cell service out on Smith River Rd. Trailers are NOT recommended. If you are bringing a trailer, be aware that we do have a 10ft wide bridge with tight corners. Larger trailers are discouraged as you may have some difficulty with the inside corners. Small 8-14 ft trailers are usually OK just watch your rear trailer tire on the inside corner. Also note access is via a mile one lane gravel road, limited pullouts and tight turn around. Also note that the property is out in the country where there is a large variety of wildlife. There may occasionally be bears, beavers, bobcat, bats, and bees. Owls, moles, mice, bunnies, deer, hawks and more.
