Relax and unwind at Le Grenier, a bright contemporary gîte set in peaceful countryside in the Landes. Enjoy the pool, gardens, air-conditioning and plenty of space to relax. NEW for Summer 2026: Le Four, a charming stone studio cottage, can be added for 2 extra guests — so you can now sleep up to 6 people when both properties are booked together. The space Le Grenier is a renovated, light-filled gîte sleeping up to 4 guests, ideal for couples or small families seeking peace, comfort and space. The gîte adjoins the far end of Maison Pyron, a former maison de maître and old farmhouse, now the owners’ home. With its own private entrance and garden, Le Grenier overlooks the pool, woods and grounds, offering independence and privacy. The setting is calm and rural, yet perfectly placed for exploring the Chalosse, the Atlantic coast, the Basque Country, Spain and the Pyrenees. Inside, the light-filled living space upstairs features vaulted ceilings, architectural beams and a comfortable lounge with UK & French TV plus Netflix. Downstairs, a well-equipped kitchen flows into the garden — perfect for outdoor meals and long summer evenings. Upstairs are two bedrooms (a king-size and two singles), a spacious bathroom with a large walk-in shower, and reversible air-conditioning/heating to keep you comfortable year-round. Family essentials can be provided, including a travel cot, high chair, stair gate, baby bath and more. Outside you have a private garden with table, chairs & plancha; solar-heated swimming pool (10 × 5 m); pool alarm & gated fencing; sun loungers, table tennis, table football and darts; large grounds with wildlife, open skies and star-gazing. The pool is fenced with a safety alarm and is open mid-May to mid/late September, offering water temperatures around 20–30 °C depending on weather. Guests have priority use of the pool. The onsite owners (a discreet couple) may use it occasionally. Location Situated between Hagetmau (5 minutes) and Saint-Sever (10 minutes), both with cafés, markets, bakeries and shops. A great base to explore, easy day trips include: Atlantic coast beaches (Capbreton, Hossegor) 1 hour by car Basque Country & San Sebastián 1,5 - 2 hours by car Pyrenees, lakes & mountain walks Thermal spas, golf, cycling & local markets Everything you need is included — fast Wi-Fi, Egyptian cotton towels & sheets, starter supplies, and friendly on-site hosts who are happy to help with recommendations or local plans. Optional Add-On: Le Four – Separate Studio Cottage (Sleeps 2) Sleeps up to 6 when booked together with our separate on-site studio, available by request. Travelling with grandparents, friends or older children? You can also add Le Four, our sympathetically restored original stone bakehouse, full of character and history. House Rules & Practical Info Self-contained gîte with private garden and independent entrance. Owners live on property — discreet and available as needed. Guests have priority use of the pool. Guest access The Grenier adjoins Maison Pyron, a renovated old farmhouse and Maison de Maître built in 1871. The Grenier is an self-contained gite with two separate entrances, its own partially fenced garden with table, chairs and plancha. The garden entrance is great in the summer months, leading out onto a recently built terrace with garden furniture and the front entrance is better to use in wetter weather at other times of the year. The gîte is independent and adjoins the far end of the main house (Maison Pyron) where we live for most of the year. You will have a fob to use to open the main electric gates and you can park in the spacious car park infront of the main house. The gardens are large with plenty of space, offering chances to spot wildlife, watch the night sky and shooting stars and eat outside in summer. Other things to note A small Welcome Pack is included on weekly stays and there is a starter pack of salt, pepper, herbs, olive oil, clothes wash and toilet rolls. Free access to wi-fi, books, some UK TV channels, Netflix and French TNT channels. There are EV charging points in Hagetmau at Intermarché, Mr Bricolage and Carrefour and oppposite the Médiathèque. If you would like to use our GreenUp charger, there will be a small fee of between approximately 3€ - 15€ per charge.
