Elizaville Twin Lakes Retreat

Registration Number: LIV-2025-006 Located only 2 hours north of NYC on Elizaville's beautiful North Twin Lake, our home is a year-round retreat where you can relax while enjoying beautiful views of the lake and all the Hudson Valley has to offer: swimming in the summer, leaf peeping and apple picking in the fall, cozying up by the fire or venturing across the frozen lake in the winter, and exploring hiking trails and cultural landmarks year round. The space This house has been in our family since 1974 and we have made many lasting memories around the lake. It is set up with multiple large communal areas that are perfect for enjoying the company of family and friends. SLEEPING AREAS: - Bedroom 1: one queen bed - Bedroom 2: one queen bed - Window room overlooking the lake: L-shaped sectional, one sleeper sofa (sleeps 1-2 people), lofted sleeping area (2 twin mattresses), television (with Roku) - Basement: Twin bunk bed, two twin beds, half bathroom, washer and dryer COMMON AREAS: - Living room with fireplace: Couch, chairs, television (with Roku), and fireplace (wood provided) - Kitchen: Large eat-in kitchen with communal table (6-8 people) and prep-island that seats an additional 4 people - Back Deck: Off the kitchen is a large deck that overlooks the lake. On the deck is an outdoor table for 6-8 people and a gas grill. Guest access Full access to the house and lake. Other things to note Although the house is quite spacious and comfortably sleeps 8+ people, please note there is ONLY ONE SHOWER. We have an additional outdoor shower, but this shut off in the winter months. Please review the bedrooms and sleeping arrangements carefully to ensure the accommodations will work for your group. -- OUTDOOR AMENITIES: private lakefront dock, private swimming platform in the lake, 2 single person kayaks, 2 stand up paddle boards, one row boat, children and adult life vests, outdoor fire pit (wood provided), outdoor shower, gas grill (propane supplied), fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs **Kayaks, row boats, swimming platform and outdoor shower available from late spring through early fall only** INDOOR AMENITIES: wood-burning fireplace (wood provided), 2 TVs hooked up to Roku, cabinet full of games and puzzles, wifi, washer and dryer located in basement, hair dryers, toiletries KITCHEN: all the basics are provided (cooking oils, spices, pots, pans, utensils, microwave, toaster oven, etc). We have a Keurig coffee machine as well as a percolator. Keurig pods are provided. WATER: Water is provided via a well and therefore can have a slight sulfur smell at times. It is safe to drink, but we also provide drinking water in a water cooler located in the kitchen. LAKE SAFETY: children should be minded at all times while down on the lower water-front dock. The upper deck can be closed off from the stairs leading down to the lake via a gate. This creates a safe space for young children and pets to roam freely. NEIGHBORS: sounds travels far on the lake, please be mindful of other homes around the lake when spending time outside in the evening :) SUPPLIES: While you can keep yourself busy for days relaxing on the lake it is best to have access to a car in case you need to run to any nearby stores. Most attractions and stores are not walking distance from the house. For this reason, we suggest arriving with all the food and drink you need to enjoy your stay. Should you need to go out for something, Elizaville is centrally located amongst the following towns: - Tivoli - 8 mi West, 13 min drive - Red Hook - 8 mi South, 13 min drive - Rhinebeck - 14 mi South, 23 min drive - Hudson - 15 mi North, 23 min drive PARKING: 4 cars can park across from the house SECURITY: We have cameras on the outside of the home. No cameras are inside the home.
