Note: The beach area in front of the property is public, so others may be present at times. 🌿 Nature & Wildlife Because we’re surrounded by nature, guests may occasionally see or hear local wildlife such as birds, squirrels, frogs, or insects (including mosquitoes). Rarely, animals like snakes or scorpions may appear, as they are part of the natural ecosystem. We maintain the home carefully but recommend keeping DOORS CLOSED and being mindful outdoors. Many guests love the peaceful, natural atmosphere this location offers. 💬 Additional Info Prices vary by season We’re happy to provide tips and recommendations to help you enjoy the area comfortably and respectfully. Guest access *Direct access to the house from the main road. * 3 medium size car private garage available. * Check in time 3PM - 7PM (Must call for special arrangements if arriving after) * Housekeeper (Victoriano) will be waiting for you to check in, and will help you with your luggage. * Check out time 12PM (Charges will be applied if more time is needed for check out, this will be allowed ONLY if no guests are checking-in the same day). * There are 43 steps from the parking to the house and 41 from the house to beach. * It is not handicapped accessible 😔 * Wi-fi available. * Cable and 65” TV. * Cell phone reception is very stable. * Locals are well known for their ceramic and their typical fabrics. * Life vests are available for adults and kids use at no additional cost. * Paddle boards and kayaks are available at all times at no extra charge. * Warning; “The lake is deep and unpredictable”. For your own personal safety and protection, we ask that you use a life vest when you are on or near the water. Swimming alone is not recommended. "There are no lifeguards on duty" Other things to note Victoriano, our housekeeper, and his family live on the property behind the main house. They are locals and will help you with any needs during your stay. They maintain the exteriors, trim the beautiful green areas, and clean the surroundings of the property daily. Victoriano is ready to assist you with any emergency or just a simple request. Enjoy the help but be kind and respectful. They are honest and hard-working. A tip upon your departure is appreciated by them, but please do so ONLY if you wish and are happy with the service. * Access road (Pana/Santa Catarina/San Antonio) is narrow, with a poor lighting system. Our home is SMOKE FREE! Smoking is NOT allowed anywhere inside the house. If you smoke inside your room or any shared spaces, you will be charged the entire deposit. Depending on the season, the beach may be partially washed away. We are dedicated to providing you with help in exploring options for your stay like boat rides, private chef, massages, shuttle services, etc., while we are happy to share recommendations, please note that these services are independent of our property, and we cannot take responsibility for their operations or availability. We encourage you to review each provider's policies to ensure they meet your needs. Local churches sometimes play loud music. Dogs bark at night, this is part of the local culture, and you will find it in every town around the lake. Important Bathroom Notice "Please Read" 🚫 In Guatemala, the drainage system is not designed to handle toilet paper or feminine hygiene products. Please do not flush toilet paper, tampons, pads, or any sanitary items down the toilet. 🗑️ Kindly use the trash cans provided in each bathroom. 🧼 Upon request, our staff can remove the trash bags daily to ensure a clean and comfortable environment. Please let us know in advance so we do not interrupt your stay. We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a smooth and pleasant experience for everyone. 🌿 Nature and Wildlife Notice Our home sits right on the lake and is surrounded by beautiful natural scenery. Because of this, you may occasionally see or hear local wildlife, birds, squirrels, frogs, or insects such as mosquitoes. On rare occasions, guests might also come across animals like snakes or scorpions, which are part of the area's natural habitat. We do our best to keep the property well maintained and minimize encounters, but we encourage guests to keep doors closed and be mindful while enjoying the outdoors. Most guests find that this close connection to nature is part of what makes their stay here so peaceful and unique. SPANISH Victoriano, our housekeeper, and his family live on the property, behind the main house. They are locals and will be available to help you with any needs during your stay. They take care of the maintenance of the exteriors, prune the beautiful green areas and clean the surroundings of the property on a daily basis. Victoriano is ready to assist you with any emergency or even a simple request. Enjoy their help, but be kind and respectful. They are honest and hardworking people.
