Welcome to The Candy Loft in Benton Harbor's Arts District! This 1BR/1.5BA condo boasts exposed brick, a king bed, and an oversized river rock shower in a spa-like bathroom illuminated by a skylight. The chef’s kitchen features a luxe Kitchenaid gas range, and an air mattress adds extra sleeping space. Housed in a historic candy factory, with an office in a former elevator shaft, it’s walking distance to restaurants, a brewery, and a coffee shop. Note: on the 2nd floor, stairs required. The space This is a unique urban loft in the arts District of Benton Harbor. The building is an old candymaking factory that is about 100 years old and my unit even has a (non-functional historic) elevator in it that used to be used to bring flour and sugar up-and-down to make candy. Guest access Guests have access to the entire unit as well as a full suite of appliances, dishes, AppleTV and connecting applications, and more. I do not have Live TV but do have a Roku device with streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu available. Other things to note My place is in great proximity to wine country and many guests have enjoyed visiting the local wineries. Also note that I do live here so the closets will be full with my items. It will be obvious what is not for guest use. I am NOT there when you stay as I also live in Charlotte NC, Chicago, and Saugatuck. NOISE: The bedroom is the wall against the common space in the condo so sometimes you will hear doors, kids, dogs or noise from the common area in the bedroom. This can sometimes be a challenge for light sleepers. I use a white noise app and most guests are not bothered by it, but just wanted to give full disclosure. Listing photos by De Emery.
