Our townhouse cottage 'Lilypad Cottage' is conveniently located near to the main high street, the River Avon and Bickerley Green, with access to walking and biking trails (locked storage for bikes available). Explore our charming town and its local shops, restaurants a stroll away, or perhaps take a short drive to the coast for a day at the beach or into the heart of the New Forest. Nestled on the outskirts of the tranquil woodlands of the New Forest National Park, our home offers a perfect retreat for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. The Space: Our two-story townhouse in a secluded residential area in the town centre boasts a traditional design that harmonises seamlessly with the natural surroundings. With 2 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, it's an ideal space for families, couples, or friends seeking a cosy getaway. Main Floor: Living Area: Unwind in the open-concept living room, where you can curl up with a good book or gather around for movie night on the large Smart TV. There is a convenient downstairs toilet and there is underfloor heating on the ground floor of this property. Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen features modern appliances and all the essentials to prepare delicious meals. Share them at the dining table, or take a stroll out and dine at one of the local restaurants. Upstairs is a king bedroom and a double bedroom both with 32-inch smart TVs. The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and there is a washer dryer in the cupboard. At the front of the property there is a small patio area, with a small outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine in the summer or a hot chocolate in the winter! A few ideas for where you can spend your days out and about:- Whilst you are here you must visit the New Forest with its free roaming horses, cattle and donkeys and an abundance of unique villages and pubs throughout. Moors Valley is fantastic for walking and cycling within the forest and you can even book an experience at Go Ape to climb among the treetops. There is the New Forest Water Park with a variety of water sports and a giant inflatable obstacle course on the water which is a fantastic day out. For fishing a day license can be purchased at the tackle shop for fishing on the River Avon with the chance to catch a variety of fish including Pike, Chub and Carp. The beaches of Southbourne and Avon Beach are within a half hour drive, with a mixture of sandy areas and pebbled area, crab fishing at Mudeford Quay is always popular, or paddleboard or kayak hire from Christchurch Quay. Other nearby days out include Paulton's Park, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Liberty’s Owl and Reptile Centre, Dorset Heavy Horse Farm, Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary, and you can get a ferry to the Isle of Wight for a day trip! Lilypad provides the perfect home to base yourselves while exploring the nearby areas to make those memories on your holiday. Ringwood has a weekly market as well as several farm shops within driving distance for local produce. For walkers and cyclists, the Castleman trail is easily accessible from Bickerley Road, this follows the old train route between Dorchester and Southampton.
