As you pull off Highway 276 & cross over the glistening Pigeon River, you’re surrounded by 198 acres of pristine mountain terrain, 0.6 miles of river frontage & only 4 homes on property. 2 Cottages are available on Airbnb. This Cottage 1 highlights Western North Carolina’s most beautiful qualities & boasts 4 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, high-end furniture & fixtures. At AHMA fresh & charming spaces combine with breathtaking outdoor scenery to create a paradise for all to enjoy, river to mountain top. The space AHMA Cottage 1 is one of 2 side by side cottages where you can enjoy our 0.6 miles of river frontage on the East Fork of the Pigeon River. AHMA Cottage 2 is one of 3 rental cottages on property and many families rent both to accommodate larger groups . Two cottages are located on a short street and another 2 person cottage is located riverside, available spring 2026. We have two stone entryways into river for access to swimming, BYO tubing and fishing, while we heed caution due to the recent Helene flooding of potential “hidden” debris. The agencies completed their clean-up in June and we look forward to the renewed river and grounds. Guests have caught fish (wild brown and rainbow trout) as recent as Oct ‘25 and the environmental groups have assessed the waterways. You also have access on foot to our gravel roads that climb to 3995 feet in altitude or to the Sunset knoll just up hill from our pond dock, that has a gorgeous stone knee wall and perfect for a photo op of the mountain backdrop or a picnic using the picnic basket provided in our laundry room!! The meadow is in our valley and green and lush this spring - play ball, practice your golf swing or throw a frisbee. Enjoy nature hikes, blackberry and apple picking, foraging and exploring or a game of corn hole provided at the house. Something for everyone. 💐🍇🍎 A good rule of thumb for picking/foraging wildflowers or our fruit (grapes, apples, blackberries and wild raspberries) is to only take a few, leaving plenty for others to enjoy and to continue reproducing. Guest access We have a key box at our entry on the iron gate. *Use the key to access entry door *Squeeze the thumb press on door handle as you are turning the key to the RIGHT *the dead bolt lock release is located on SIDE of door where you can push button in to release and keep door unlocked. This is helpful when unloading so door doesn’t lock each time you shut the door. *Ring doorbell does not chime inside home.
