About Kingfisher Cottage The cottage comprises of open plan lounge and kitchen with 2 bedrooms both en-suite. You'll find everything on one level therefore perfect for people with restricted mobility. Kitchen: Is fully equipped with all you'll require for preparing meals. Appliances:Gas hob/ elec oven, fridge freezer. Smaller appliances consist of: Kettle,toaster, Tea pot(cay), sufficient cutlery and crockery for the capacity of the cottage. Lounge As part of the open plan you find comfortable seating to sit back and relax to watch TV or a movie. From the lounge there are double doors leading on to the decking looking over the water and beyond into the Dalyan mountains. One the decking there is table and chairs for all your al fresco dining. Bedroom 1 - ground level comprising of double bed wardrobes, draws and bedside cabinets. En suite - shower,toilet and hand washbasin. From your room you have doors leading on the decking. Bedroom 2 - ground level comprising of double bed wardrobes, draws and bedside cabinets. En suite - shower, toilet and hand washbasin. From your room you have doors leading on the decking. JACUZZI/GARDEN/DECKING Total luxury comes with this cottage having it's own private outdoor Jacuzzi located on the decking. The decking runs of stilts the full length of the cottage and is shaded with the thatched roof of the cottage allowing you to relax away from the sun. There are also 4 bikes for your personal use. Walking to Dalyan will take about 20 minutes. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: Please note due to the bungalow being on the river edge we do not recommend this property to be child friendly for children under the age of 10 years. All bed linen and towels are provided for use in the villa only. We can arrange car/bike/mobility scooter hire, as well as trips, transfers from the airport and a welcome pack of food for your arrival. About the neighborhood Dalyan is situated on the Dalyan River in a delta fed from the waters of Koygeyiz Lake. The lake and river are famous for their health giving thermal waters and mud baths. The lake and river which runs into the sea gives access to a fleet of flat bottomed boats which follow the river through a miasma of reed beds, stunning vistas and open onto the famous Iztuzu Beach, winner of the Open Green Space Award for Europe in 2008. Iztuzu is also famous for the Carretta Carretta Turtle and is an environmentally protected area for nesting. are many attractions to fill your days. Beautiful beaches, forest walks, ruins of Caunos, Lycien Rock Tombs, Boat Trips, Turkish Baths, Masseurs, Natural Mudbaths, Thermal Springs, Scuba Diving, Markets, Shops, very reasonably priced Restaurants and Bars and charming and friendly people. The town sits on the Dalyan river fed by the local mountain streams that converge on the Koycegiz lake. Locals and tourists alike can enjoy the natural Mud Baths and Thermal Springs at the side of the lake, then meander through the maze of reed beds, passing the ancient Rock Tombs carved into the side of the mountain 3000 years ago. The river opens onto the beautiful Iztuzu Beach, better known as Turtle Beach where the gently shelving beach is home to the endangered Loggerhead turtle as well as much bird life. Dalyan is a place that has something for everyone, no matter what your age; from doing nothing but relaxing, to white water rafting or sea kyaking, to lazy boat trips along the coast, stopping to snorkel and eat. Its a good place for the children/teenagers in your family: they can enjoy a greater degree of independence from the adults without getting into trouble. It is by and large a very safe place and the locals are friendly and trustworthy. This wonderful un-spoilt corner of Turkey is the perfect place to enjoy the relaxing and exotic culture of Turkey. Dalyan and its people are so incredibly friendly, you will probably never want to leave. Getting around A car is required as we are just a 20 minute walk from the town centre, 100 metres from the local small bus which runs to the next villages. Boat trips can be had from the town centre and many tours are available from the town centre or pickup can be arranged from the villas.
