The property includes 5+ acres of Catskills land, including a plentiful evergreen forest, an outdoor fire pit and a propane grill. Spend warm evenings gathered around the outdoor dining table, grilling underneath the stars and spend snowy winters around the indoor fireplace listening to music and playing a board game with friends. During the day, take a quick drive to nearby spots for hiking, skiing, coffee, breweries and some of the best restaurants The Catskills' has to offer! The house is located in the beautiful Catskill Mountains. There are sweeping views everywhere. Explore the surrounding areas’ year round hiking trails, fishing streams, ski resorts, distilleries and breweries, numerous farm stands, antique shops, and some of the Catskills’ best restaurants - there's something for everyone. Message us for our favorite spots :) Easy drive to popular attractions such as Kaaterskill Falls, Minekill State Park (which has a waterfall and outdoor swimming pool) and so much more. Under 30 minutes to tons of venues, activities and areas including but not limited to the following: SKI RESORTS - Windham - Hunter - Plattekill - Belleayre (there's a beach in the summer) - Bearpen Mountain (winters sports such as snow tubing, sledding, cross-country skiing etc but not a ski resort). The most convenient route is from New York State Thruway exit 19. While the home has great cell service from most carriers, we recommend inputting directions in your GPS beforehand as you'll likely lose service on the way to the house. You will need a car to get around. There is on-site parking at the house. Please read house rules before booking. The house is located on a main road so there is some traffic noise. However, majority of the outdoor space is behind the house and away from the road. We provide sound machines in all bedrooms for guests for light sleepers. All the bedrooms are on the second floor. Please note, to access bedroom four (queen bed), you will have to go through the second floor bathroom. Guests will have access to the propane grill in the spring and summer months. Please scrape and clean the grill before and after using and leave in fair condition. Guests are responsible for filling up the propane tank at the local super market/gas station if it's empty. Up to 2 house trained dogs are allowed ($50 pet fee per dog). We provide water and food bowls, treats and wipes for paws. Please let us know before booking as only pre approved dogs are allowed. Any and all damages caused will be charged to guests. Please note, we do not have a fenced in yard. Additional details noted under house rules. In the winter, our Nest thermostats are set to allow the heat to go up to 70° F. We strongly advise cars with AWD/4WD in the winter. The Spruce Grove is on a well maintained road but when getting around or exiting the driveway, AWD/4WD is recommended. While we do have a washer/dryer, it is only available to guests who stay more than 5 nights. If you notice that dates around holidays (July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.) are unavailable to book, please message us directly if you're interested!
