Montezuma Ocean View - Romantic, Relaxing Luxury

Set above Playa Montezuma in a lush tropical garden with spectacular ocean views and gentle sea breezes, this secluded self-contained Casita with private pool, king bed, beautiful bathroom, kitchenette, al fresco dining and sitting area is a quiet haven for relaxation and rejuvenation. Monkeys, parrots, pizotes and toucans are regular visitors! The beach, the famous Montezuma waterfall and excellent restaurants are close by. The space The Casita was built in 2014 to accommodate visiting family, friends and coaching clients. It is cozy, quiet and luxurious. Imagine this - arriving at the property you come to a plateau of tropical plants. You will walk past the main house, the ocean to your left. Past the main pool and yoga deck, you will come to a narrow path that leads to the Casita, fringed with helaconias and ginger plants, flowering, colorful bushes and palm trees. The outdoor patio and the private plunge pool give way to amazing expansive views of the tropical foliage below and the turquoise Pacific ocean. The roofed patio offers open air dining at a beautiful handmade table and chairs from local wood, a sitting area, and a fully equipped kitchenette. Wide sliding doors open the Casita bedroom with its large, comfy king bed, its small inbuilt desk, and at the far end the bathroom. Guest access The property comprises of 2 acres on which we built a main house with a swimming pool and yoga deck, the Casita with its private pool, a guest cabinita, a caretaker's house and a plant nursery. The garden has an abundance of tropical foliage, and the Casita is very private, set apart from any other buildings. There is a private pool at the Casita for exclusive guest use 24/7. The entire property is fenced, and a remote controlled gate at the bottom of the driveway offers added security. The structures are not visible from the road, hence very private. Other things to note **LOCATION: You would fly into the Costa Rican international airport in either San Jose (SJO) or Liberia (LIR). From there you have various options to get to Montezuma: from San Jose, a shuttle service costs approx $60 per person and takes approx 5.5 hours; for example with Interbus Online or Zuma Tours. A domestic flight to Cobano either with Sansa or Costa Rica Green Airways (20 minutes) followed by 10-minute car ride to Montezuma. Or, a rental car either from San Jose airport (for example with Enterprise), or from Cobano airport (for example with Budget). From Liberia airport the drive is shorter, about 3.5-4 hours. A new road has recently been completed -- all the way to Montezuma there is an actual asphalt road now! Shuttle vans can be booked with Zuma Tours (9am and 2:45pm pickup at LIR airport) or Tropical Tours Shuttles (9am and 3pm pickup at LIR airport). Those are shared shuttle vans, but you can also arrange a private shuttle which will be quite a bit more expensive. **GROCERIES: There are two grocery stores in Montezuma. They stock pretty much everything one might need. Also, every Saturday there is an organic produce market in Montezuma. **MEDICAL: A medical emergency service is available in Montezuma. A hospital, pharmacies, doctors and dentists are available in the next biggest town Cobano, about 10 minutes drive away.
