Description
Welcome to my home! This house was built in the 1820’s in the historical town of Paris, Virginia! With lots of history and character this house still has some of the original exposed beams and hardwood flooring! If you enjoy the outdoors, wineries, breweries, and shopping this is a perfect location for your stay! Minutes from the Appalachian trail, and Sky Meadows park there’s plenty of hiking around. Famous Ashby Inn restaurant just a short walk away and many more amazing places! The space You’ll be very cozy in this 200 year old home! A town that was originally built with much larger plans was halted once the civil war happened. A unique neighborhood with almost all the homes built in the 17 and 1800's surrounded by nothing but farm land seems to be frozen in time! This is my personal home, so there will be a few items kept in the home, but out of the way of your stay! :) The home is on the smaller side, around 900 square feet, but most guests find it perfectly cozy! Pets are allowed. There is a $50.00 pet fee that you must select on checkout. It should say "pets". Please keep in mind that this area is subject to (sometimes) bad thunderstorms and snow storms that could leave you without power for a few hours and in extreme cases a day or two. Please understand that this is out of my control. All I can do is report the outage to the power company ASAP. Guest access You are able to park in front of the home as well as a driveway that parks 2 cars. Other things to note Verizon seems to be the only cellular service that works in this location. However I do have a wireless hotspot that works very well if you need to use your phone, computer tablet or stream anything you want on any of my smart TVs (bedroom, living room and upstairs). I also have plenty of DVDs upstairs if you’d like to watch a movie!
