The Barton Farmhouse - Hocking Hills, Logan, Ohio

Nestled right in the middle of Hocking Hills, just 5 minutes from Old Man's Cave, the Barton Farmhouse is the original victorian-era farmstead of the Barton family, built over 120 years ago. With over 2,400 sq ft. of newly renovated house, 5 spacious bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and almost 7 acres of land, this unique property offers a chance for friends and family to relax and enjoy the beauty of Hocking Hills in a rare, Victorian-style home. The space As we updated the Barton Farmhouse we did our best to balance a clean, modern environment with the classic vintage aesthetic that we love. You'll find original woodwork throughout the house with stained glass transom windows above each bedroom. All of our bedrooms are spacious and have unique qualities and designs of their own. For instance, our downstairs bedroom holds the library for the house while the master bedroom upstairs has a built-in gas fireplace and balcony to capture the perfect morning view of the hills. We have three full baths: one marble walk-in shower off the parlor room, one clawfoot tub upstairs, and a master bath with a combo shower finished with subway tile surround. We also have a half bath just off the kitchen. The living room boasts a fully-functional stone fireplace and a bay window with a view of the whole property. Most mornings and evenings, at dawn and dusk, you'll see a wide range of peaceful wildlife on the property, and the bay window is the perfect place to watch. Our kitchen is fully furnished and completely renovated with new cabinets, quartz countertops and all updated appliances. The breakfast nook doubles as our dinner table with original built-in benches and a custom, solid-wood table. In the corner we dedicated a space for coffee lovers with a coffee grinder, hot coffee maker and a cold brew maker. Our Parlor Room, just across from the living room, has a pool table, dart board and smart TV for entertainment as well as a cocktail table for any spectators. Outside we have a large porch where you'll find our hot tub, a wide open yard with a patio and a long path leading to the bottom of the property where you'll find our fire pit. We're also working on a path through the wooded area of the property to allow for a little more exploration and exercise. Inside we have an assortment of games, books and DVDs (throwback) to keep you entertained during your stay. As hosts, we will do everything in our power to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible and we are always available for questions or concerns. After every winter storm the driveway will be cleared, but we highly recommend 4-wheel drive or All-wheel drive vehicles to ensure you make it where you're going without issue.
