Tranquil interconnecting Gîtes with Private Pool

Situated on the outskirts of a quiet hamlet in Chives, these charming interconnecting cottages with their stone walls, exposed beams and original fireplaces have recently been fully restored. An ideal space for up to 8 people which includes kitchen, living and dining area, patio, garden furniture and BBQ. Guests can enjoy relaxing around the swimming pool, picnicking in the orchard or walking the surrounding countryside. A totally tranquil place to enjoy your stay. The space Located in the courtyard garden of the main Charantaise property, facing East and therefore benefiting the sun from early morning to late afternoon. Access to the property is from the sun terrace into the main living, kitchen and, dining areas. Each Gite has a kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven/grill, fridge with small freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, crockery, and cutlery. Both living area's have a large sofa which can be made into a comfortable double bed for the 5/8 person and both benefit from a log burner, ideal for keeping warm during the autumn and winter months. Each Gite has a TV , a DVD player and Netflix. Guests can request a selection of DVD's from the host. The large first floor bedrooms consist of a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and has an ensuite shower room. In addition, Gîte des Abielles has a first floor terrace which is accessible from the bedroom and a perfect place to enjoy fresh ground coffee and croissants in the morning or relax in the evening with an apéritif or glass of wine. There is also a separate toilet and wash basin available on the ground floor in Gîte des Abielles. The swimming pool is located in the courtyard garden and benefits by having the sun all day. Patio seating area with parasols is provided and whilst bedding and bath towels are available in the Gîtes we kindly ask guests to bring their own pool/beach towels. Guests can also use the main outside eating area alongside their own patio space which is shaded during most of the day. Whilst smoking is not permitted within the property, guests may smoke in outside spaces. Pets are allowed however before committing please contact the host to confirm as some rules do apply. An additional 2 Single beds for children can be requested and placed in the upstairs bedroom of Gîte des Abielles. Guest access The main access to the property is via large electric gates which remain closed throughout the day, if required a fob can be provided throughout your stay however we do ask that a refundable deposit is paid should this be required. Parking can either be onsite or provided in an adjacent area. Additional access to the property is also available via a separate gate. Other things to note In addition, to enhance your stay and make your arrival stress free, we are able to arrange any required essentials, e.g. Milk, bread etc prior to your arrival. A Vival General Store is located in Chives, a 2 minute drive by car, for any basic requirements. A lakeside restaurant is available during the summer months and is only a 5 minute drive away.
