Bikes, kayaks (rate sheet for kayaks is in house manual), paddleboards and snowshoes, according to the season, are available by arrangement with the hosts. We have passes for the lovely private beach at beautiful Queechy Lake, for summer swimming. This is a natural spring fed lake and is rated one of the cleanest in NYS. The house is stocked with many wonderful games, books and movies. There is Fiber optic high speed internet service (1G) download speed and there are three large screen Roku TVs offering streaming Netflix, HBO, Showtime and other popular entertainment and news channels. With a cell tower less than a mile away, phone and data service is very good with AT&T & Verizon. We maintain trails on both properties (12 acres total), offering country strolls and mountain biking, or XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter. Our neighboring network of dirt roads also offers biking and hiking opportunities. Close to all the wonderful places of interest and cultural activities of the Berkshires and Hudson Valley. A short drive from Tanglewood, Shakespeare & Co, Kripalu, The Mount, Hancock Shaker Village, Jiminy Peak, Catamount, Bousquet, etc. Other things to note On extended stays (30 days or more) bi-monthly cleaning is required at an additional charge to guest. The house has its own dedicated fiber optic connection which delivers (1G) of download speed. Excellent cell service with AT & T and Verizon...others not as reliable. Well behaved/supervised children welcome. We do not recommend Knoll Rock for toddlers (11/2-4} as their are no safety guards on the staircases nor can anything be attached to the interior walls or beams. No high chairs can be attached to the granite counter tops. Children (5-12) must be under adult supervision at all times. Maps of area hiking trails, kayaking and biking available in house.
