Large renovated farmhouse with heated pool

Our beautifully renovated farmhouse set in a quiet rural part of Burgundy, not far from the Sancerre/Pouilly wine country. It has a huge garden and terrace, large swimming pool (May-October), trampoline and swings (and space to make huts and play hide and seek!). Peaceful evenings star-gazing, sitting under the pergola as you barbecue whilst drinking locally wine, after taking leisurely strolls or bike rides around the country lanes is what it is all about! The space Great for family get-togethers or several families to relax together in the peace and quiet of rural Burgundy, maybe enjoying a glass of the local wine... The rooms are big and the walls solid, meaning that families with young children can have their own space and not fear disturbing everyone! We have equipped it to the standard that we like to enjoy - it is so much more than a rental but a beloved family home and we love to share the extras with our guests (such as very well-equipped kitchen, loads of books and board games, (old!) bikes to borrow) Whilst 14 is the maximum guests we accept in principle and we set 12 as the limit for numbers of adults, we may be able to accept extra guests. We do sometimes accept larger groups (eg groups with children who are happy to share/bring extra (air mattresses) and have two (or more!) sittings at the kitchen table/use the outdoor tables (as the kitchen table only sits max. 12, but that needs to be discussed with us first. We don’t tend to accept very large parties/potentially noisy groups (sorry!) out of respect for our neighbours. Guest access The whole house is for you! We are always happy to try to accommodate early checkins/late checkouts wherever possible - just ask! Other things to note There are lots of stairs in the house as it has been converted from two farmhouses and barns, all at different levels and with beams everywhere (young children will need monitoring on the stairs - they are too wide for stair gates to fit). Whilst there is a bedroom and a toilet downstairs, all of the bathrooms are upstairs and that means managing the stairs so it is good to be aware before choosing our house that this may be difficult for those with limited mobility. This is a quiet area - if you want to party/go to bars, it’s not for you! Noise that can carry isn’t allowed after 10pm, to avoid upsetting our lovely neighbours. We may pose questions about your plans for your stay if your group is large/made up of young adults - please don’t be offended we just want to respect our neighbours and ensure our house is a good fit for you! The large swimming pool is surrounded by a lounging area and is next to the terrace so you can supervise or just enjoy your family’s and friends’ splashing! It is protected by a gated fence (and a pool cover). The pool is available and heated from mid-May to mid-October. It is possible to arrange (in advance, for an extra fee), for beds to be made up prior to arrival.
