Cornerstone - a bird watchers' paradise

Cornerstone's main features are the birds and the privacy. After leaving the beaten track and taking some unmade roads you will travel up a 500m drive through dense ti-tree. There you will be surprised to find a comfortable house. Use a satellite view to see the bush island around Cornerstone and how it connects to the Prom. Our goal is to preserve this Winkarlin bush island in perpetuity and by staying at Cornerstone you are helping us make this vision financially viable! The space Cornerstone is a comfortable house for a holiday with family or friends. It has two queen bedrooms, one with ensuite, and third bedroom with two singles. As well as the ensuite bathroom there is also a central bathroom with shower and toilet. If you hear the patter of feet on the roof in the night please do not be alarmed they are probably only possums and other native creatures. A full solar system with battery backup provides peace of mind in case of grid system power cuts. Guest access The whole house and grounds. Other things to note Do not be concerned by the water being collected off the roof, you will not find cleaner or more delicious water coming out of pipes anywhere! But we would appreciate it if you would be thoughtful with your water usage. There is satellite internet and good 3G coverage from Telstra and Optus. As well as the ductless heating and cooling split system, there is also a wood burning stove with wood supplied. The final kilometres of road to reach Cornerstone are unsealed. No problem driving them in a regular car so long as you keep your speed reasonable but it can get dusty in dry periods. It is possible during periods of very heavy rain there might be a problem with some places on the road flooding but this is very unusual. We do not allow pets at Cornerstone.
