This bright, stylish city centre apartment is the perfect base to explore Cape Town. Located in a secure block between beautiful Company's Gardens and iconic Long Street, this contemporary living space has everything to make you feel at home - WiFi, Netflix, washer and dryer, queen size bed, well equipped kitchen and tableware. Long Street runs along the front of the building and is the area's main ‘tourist’ street, with busy shops and cafes by day plus vibrant nightlife later. Bree Street, two blocks up the hill, is more sedate, with nice restaurants, cafes, and pubs. If you’re not driving, the MyCiti bus and Uber are the best ways of getting around the city. You can buy a MyCiti card from the larger stations or certain shops. The closest are the KwikSpar on Kloof or Adderley Street bus station. You load money onto the card and use it to pay for fares on the bus - you can’t pay for fares in cash on the bus! There are three MyCiti stops within a 5 minute walk from the apartment. If you’re coming from abroad you can use the same Uber app as in your home country. Uber is safe and cheaper and metered taxis, but if you do want to use a local firm you can try Sports Taxis on 21 447 4444. There’s no off-street parking in the block unfortunately. For street-parking, make sure you find the official parking attendant - they’ll be wearing an orange jacket and be carrying a ticket machine - and pay for how long you’ll be staying. If you overstay it’s not usually a problem, just find the attendant and pay the balance when you leave. For free parking areas without an attendant (and there aren’t many in the CBD), expect to pay the unofficial car guards about R5 for short stay and up to R10 for long stay. For longer term parking you can use the InterPark at 15 on Orange Hotel, 400m from the apartment. It is R85 overnight or R1200 for a month. You can call the Hotel on 021 469 8000 and they will put you through to InterPark.
