The main floor has the kitchen, dining room, living room, half bath with washer/dryer, sun-room. access to back deck with grill. Upstairs has the 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Guests also have access to the wrap around porches, and decks. As well as the 2 acre yard. Outside we have fire pits. Guest access Guests have access to entire house except attic and basement. Other things to note PET FEE: a cleaning fee of $100 for dog will be added to the booking total. SLEEPS 8: 4 bedrooms on second floor. 3 with queen beds and 1 with a Double. But there is plenty of room to set up air mattresses if you have a large group. NO AIR CONDITIONER: please note this house is always cool in the summer with mountain breezes. Ceiling fans and additional free standing throughout the house. SHEETS & TOWELS: Extras in linen closet in upstairs hallway. EXTRA QUILTS: there are extra quilts and pillows in trunks at the end of the beds and in the linen closet upstairs hallway. ADDITIONAL OUTSIDE SEATING: There are extra deck chairs and Adirondack chairs stacked in garage for guest use on deck, porch or at bonfire pit COUNTRY HOUSE: This is a 100+ year old country house. It is not perfect. However, it is very well priced and a great value for 4 bedrooms. Its cozy & charming. Our guests appreciate the charm, location and size of the house. And many have returned several times. (Out in the country you may find bugs and critters about). FIREPLACE TIPS: Fireplace is a cozy feature intended for 3 out of 4 seasons. It is not recommended for winter to keep the house warm. If you want to use the fireplace you must buy wood. Please do not use pine from outside, that is only for outdoor use. Please have a good working understanding of how to use a fireplace. Otherwise do not use this. Weiss market in town sells bundles of wood. Sorry we do not always keep a ready supply on hand. If you use the fireplace in winter, after the fireplace burns out you must keep the air flu open for several hours while embers are still smoking. Thereby sucking hot air out of the house-you will be very cold. Or you can shovel the ashes into the metal bucket to the left of the fireplace and toss outide onto the driveway. For outdoor chiminea and fire pit feel free to use as much as you like from pine branches from woodpile. There is a big fire pit outside the kitchen window about 30 feet out.
