Welcome to Château de la Preuille, your ideal family retreat for unforgettable holidays! This spacious holidaycastle of 144 m² provides all the necessary comforts. It can accommodate up to 4 people in two cozy bedrooms. Nestled in the historic wing of the castle, it has its own independent entrance. A shared staircase leads to your private floor. The space At our place, it's not perfect... it's Paradise. While the policy of "look but don't touch" often applies in castles, that's not how we do things here. We take pleasure in surprising our guests with those little things that make a big difference. Château de la Preuille is an ideal base for families with children and couples looking to explore Vendée. It's the little things that bring a smile to your face, and to ours too – that's our way of life. The details and our personal touch are what make you feel at home with us, even though you're far from yours. Whether it's a surprise for your children or an extra touch of romance for you, we have it all for you. This holiday castle (144 m²) with its distinctive character is completely private and very comfortable. It accommodates 4 people in 2 bedrooms. It is located in a wing of the castle and has its own independent entrance. On the ground floor, you'll find a 57m² living room with granite tiles and exposed beams, offering a stunning view of the dovecote and the moat. There's also a decorative granite fireplace. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, oven, electric stove, and dishwasher. After taking a shared staircase, you'll arrive on the first floor. A private corridor connects two large bedrooms, offering complete privacy in this special part of the castle. The first bedroom, named "1100," is spacious at 24m² and offers an enchanting view of both the moat and the vineyard. You'll have a comfortable seating area to relax in. The room has a private bathroom of 18m² located in the tower, featuring a freestanding bathtub, a large separate shower, toilet, and a hairdryer. The second bedroom, named "1350" in honor of the first inhabitants of this castle, the Boux family, who lived here for 110 years over several generations. Jean Boux was the first lord of La Preuille. This 18m² room offers a magnificent view of the moat. Enjoy the early morning hours from a comfortable armchair and observe the bird life on the water. The room has a comfortable double bed (180cm x 200cm) and a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and hairdryer. We also provide free WiFi access for our guests. We look forward to welcoming you and making your stay unforgettable! Please note: in July and August, the minimum stay is one week, with arrivals on Saturdays. Outside of this season, the minimum stay is 3 nights, with arrival on a day of your choice. Other things to note Deposit of 200 € returnable at the end of your stay (cash or cheque accepted). Rental includes: Bedlinen and the basics will be provided for the kitchen and WC. Beds will be made upon arrival but please bring your own towels. At the end of your stay, we ask that you to leave the gite “broom clean” and we’ll take care of the rest.
