Welcome to Château de la Preuille. An ideal vacation home for an unforgettable vacation! This spacious 144 m² gîte offers all the necessary comfort. It can accommodate up to 4 people and has two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. Located in the historic wing of the castle, with its own independent entrance and terrace. A shared staircase leads to your private floor. The space Our motto is: it's not perfect, it's paradise. While in castles often the policy of "look but don't touch" applies, that's not how it is with us. We love to surprise our guests with little things that make a big difference. Our castle is an ideal base for families with children and couples who want to explore the Vendée. It's the little things that put a smile on your face - and on ours too. It is the details and our personal touch that make you feel at home with us. Whether it's a surprise for your children or an extra touch of romance for you, we have it. On the ground floor, there is a 57m² living room with granite floor and exposed beams, with breathtaking views of the dovecote and the castle moat. There is also a decorative granite fireplace. The adjoining kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, electric stove and dishwasher. A common staircase takes you to the first floor. A private corridor connects two large bedrooms and offers complete privacy in this special part of the castle. The first bedroom, called "1100", is spacious at 24m² and offers enchanting views of both the moat and the vineyard. Here is a comfortable sitting area to relax. The room has its own bathroom of 18m² in the tower, with a freestanding bath, a large separate shower, toilet and a hairdryer. The second bedroom, called "1350", in honor of the first inhabitants of this castle, the Boux family, who lived here for 110 years over several generations. Jean Boux was the first lord of La Preuille. This 18m² room offers a beautiful view of the castle moat. Enjoy the early morning hours from a comfortable chair and watch the bird life on the water. The room has a comfortable double bed (180cm x 200cm) and a private bathroom with shower, toilet and hairdryer. We also have WiFi for our guests. We look forward to welcoming you and making your stay unforgettable! Please note: In July and August, the minimum stay is one week, with arrival on Saturday. Outside this period, the minimum stay is 3 nights, with arrival on a day of your choice. Other things to note Security deposit of €200 to be refunded at the end of your stay (cash or check accepted). The rent includes: Bed linen and basic kitchen and toilet equipment are provided. The beds are made upon arrival, but you are requested to bring your own towels. At the end of your stay, we ask you to leave the gîte "broom clean" and we will take care of the rest.
