The space El Cuyo is one of the Yucatán Peninsula’s best-kept secrets. This small fishing village offers true tranquility—the ideal place to disconnect, slow down, and reconnect with nature. With minimal light pollution, the nights here are spectacular. The property consists of two separate, single-level spaces—the Main House and the Rear Suite—together accommodating up to 7 adults and 2 children. Both spaces feature a relaxed beach style, open layouts, large windows that fill the interiors with natural light, cooling ocean breezes, and a strong connection to the outdoors. Main House The Main House offers a bright, welcoming, and open atmosphere, comfortably accommodating up to 4 adults. - Bright living area with a Smart TV and satellite service. - Direct access to the front porch, furnished with outdoor seating and a hammock. - Fully equipped kitchen with a double sink, oven, stove, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and all necessary cookware. - Breakfast bar with seating for four, which also serves as a laptop-friendly workspace. - Seamless connection to one of the highlights of the home: the spacious outdoor palapa, featuring seating for eight, lush greenery, and a hammock—perfect for long meals, quiet afternoons, and relaxed evenings. Sleeping Arrangements – Main House Bedroom 1: Queen bed with an en-suite bathroom. Bedroom 2: Queen bed with an en-suite bathroom. Both bedrooms include A/C, ceiling fans, closets, and private bathrooms. Rear Suite/Back room The Rear Suite offers complete privacy from the Main House and comfortably accommodates up to 3 adults. Bedroom 3: Two double beds. The Rear Suite offers a relaxed, self-contained layout, making it ideal for couples, friends, or guests who prefer additional privacy. Example Sleeping Arrangement for 7 Adults For groups of 7 adults, the sleeping arrangement is: Main House: 4 adults—2 sharing the queen bed in the master bedroom and 2 sharing the queen bed in the second bedroom. Rear Suite/Back room: 3 adults—2 sharing one double bed and 1 adult using the adjacent double bed. Additional Features - 3 full bathrooms, all modern and equipped with stand-in showers. - Two parking spaces. - Kitesurf-friendly setup, with dedicated space to store gear, rinse and dry equipment, and inflate kites in the garden. Guest access You'll have exclusive access to both houses including the huge palapa and outdoor dining area and patios. Other things to note **The maximum capacity of this house is 6 adults and 2 children.** **The washer is temporarily unavailable until further notice.** *PLEASE NOTE: El Cuyo is a tiny town. There are no big grocery stores, no ATM, and very few places accept credit or debit cards, and alcohol sales are limited. So you may want to think ahead and pack what you need and bring it with you! *ALSO NOTE: The area is a Natural Reserve with a fragile ecosystem so it’s very important to follow the instructions for maintaining the septic system and managing garbage. Guests will receive a video upon booking that explains garbage separation and waste management. You can only dispose of toilet paper in the toilets. The septic system in El Cuyo is not strong enough. Please use the trash bin provided for anything other than toilet paper. We and El Cuyo thank you in advance! Wi-Fi, flat-screen Smart TV w/satellite, bed linens, beach essentials like a beach bag & a portable beach shade sail, beach and bath towels, washer/dryer & 2 parking spots are provided complimentary during your stay. We offer added services like preparing delicious fresh ceviche and other seafood specials for you, and we can also help you with tours, birdwatching, kitesurf lessons, and more. Just ask our on-site groundskeepers, Ana and Lupe. They’d be happy to help! We kindly ask that you respect the house rules as well as the waste management protocols. Guests will be requested to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation. A security deposit may be required prior to arrival or at check-in, subject to the booking platform used to make the reservation. This fee is charged as a credit card transaction and refunded after check-out, provided all terms are met. HOUSE RULES - Travelers must be at least 21 years of age or older to book. - No smoking of any kind is allowed on the premises. Smoking tobacco, cannabis or the use of any recreational drugs in the house is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply will incur a $300 penalty. - No parties or events are permitted, illegal activity is prohibited, and excessive noise won't be tolerated. No loud music is allowed after 10 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors. - No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed. - No tent or other structures may be set up on the grounds of the property. - Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or cover necessary extra-cleaning charges if such is needed after their stay. - Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of checking in or during your stay. -Please respect the house rules and waste management rules shared prior to your arrival. - Please avoid moving furniture. - Pets are not allowed.
