In-home host Rae welcomes you to rest and recharge in The Suite Retreat. This add-on adjoins our 1920's home in the historic Rivermont area and has its OWN private entrance and deck in rear of house. Suite has a minimal kitchen and modest, private bathroom with retrofit shower. TV (with Roku subscriptions) and WIFI are provided. Work from the desk area, or comfy armchair. We warmly welcome all backgrounds and orientations to our home. Please be respectful of our quiet neighborhood. The space We take great pride in this peaceful refuge and are so happy to share this special spot with you! Your privacy and solitude is enhanced with a private French Door entrance from your exclusive deck in the rear of the house. Entering, you will find a studio-style set up in this generously sized, bright, peaceful room. The space is lovingly decorated with treasures from the homeowners' travels and original art pieces. Here's what you can expect: Running the width of the entire house, this suite includes private full bath, large closet and chest of drawers, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, and all essentials. The comfy colorful sitting area features the menus of local eateries. A roll top desk is provided for you if you *must* work. As of Summer 2019 we have a made a number of improvements to our space and service systems. *We are excited to introduce our new in-home hosts, Seisha and Phillip. These dynamic young professionals exemplify the best of Lynchburg's next generation and will be on hand to assist you with anything you might need during your stay. Homeowners Mace and Maryam can always be reached through the AirBnB app. *Guests will now enjoy an incredibly comfortable QUEEN BED, with the same crisp linens you love. *The large closet is stocked with ironing board, iron, wrinkle release, hangers, as well as additional climate-control appliances (fan, heater, AC). Please ask if you need to access the laundry facilities and we will make that available. We are very proud of our guest quarters, but if you're a new-construction kind of person, you may not be comfortable here. Guest access Guest Suite; Private Deck. There are three doors into the suite. Please do not use the external door located between the bathroom and closet and keep locked at all times; it sticks. The internal door connecting the suite to the rest of the house has a lock on each side for privacy and we encourage you to keep it locked while checked in to avoid any miscommunications. The key code on the French doors is changed routinely but, again, we recommend using the lock for maximum privacy. Laundry facilities can be shared upon request. Other things to note The main house is heated by steam radiators. Clicking and chiming of pipes in the shared wall is to be expected.
