The cottage offers amenities modeled after boutique hotels as well as a kitchenette. Step out from a soak in the tub onto the heated tile floor and wrap yourself in a spa robe before sinking into the comfort of the premium latex queen mattress. 4 miles from town yet it feels a world away. Sleeps 2. No pets, please. The bedroom area has a queen bed with natural latex mattress. Bed is European style, with fluffy down duvet and latex pillows dressed in comfortably rumpled natural cotton sheeting. Full bathroom with tub/shower combo and heated floors. We provide eco- and body-friendly hand soap, shampoo and body wash. Cotton robes and bath salts provided. Enjoy a meal outdoors on your private patio. Pick huckleberries, blueberries and blackberries in season. Dark skies are great for stargazing. Kitchenette has refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, sink and dishwasher. It is stocked with tools to prepare simple meals (think fried eggs and toast, spaghetti with sauce from a jar, reheated leftovers, etc). There is no stove or oven. Coffee maker, electric kettle, coffee and tea are included. Eggs from our flock are available spring through fall. We are eco-conscious and provide fabric dish towels, dish rags and Swedish dishcloths in lieu of single use paper towels. Our water is UV-purified spring water. Yes, you can drink it! Pack and play with bassinet insert and crib sheet available upon request if you are traveling with an infant. The cottage is all yours. It is separated from the other two buildings on our 5-acre property, with its own parking space. It is adjacent to our rental cabin, but the windows in each building are oriented to provide privacy as well as a view of the forest. It is next door to our home, separated by a side yard, large trees and driveway. We are available if you need us but will give you complete privacy otherwise. We live in the house next door and are available if you need us. You may see us around the property as we live on site, but we do our best to respect guests’ privacy and stay out of your way. We are less than 4 miles from Old Town Bandon and beach access. Renowned Bandon Dunes golf resort is nearby, as are good places for beach combing. We are located in a wooded area so you may hear birds chirping and may encounter wild creatures such as deer, rabbits, beavers, bats, snakes, lizards, wasps, spiders and other wildlife during your stay. We have free range chickens and a resident outdoor cat who love to greet guests upon arrival. We recommend arriving before nightfall on your first visit, as it can be a little tricky to find in the dark. The property is down a private gravel lane. 2 parking spaces are available for your use - one at the end of the driveway beside the cottage, and a second a short walk away. Wifi at the cottage is through Starlink and can vary anywhere from 10 to 100 mbps. It’s good for streaming videos and internet browsing, and I successfully work from home doing tech support on this system, but don’t expect fiber speeds in our rural location. Occasional brief outages may occur, but rarely last longer than a minute or two. ATT, Verizon and T-Mobile cell service are 4G LTE here.
