Description
Welcome to the Sweet Spot of Bend — our 1917 logging-era cottage in the heart of Old Town. You're half a block from the surf wave on the Deschutes River, and an easy stroll to downtown, the Old Mill District, and Drake Park. Lovingly restored with historic character and modern comforts, a fenced yard for the dogs, and off-street parking. Float the river, walk home from a concert at the Amphitheater, catch the Mt. Bachelor shuttle to ski. Sleeps up to 6 — your basecamp for the best of Bend. The space A lovingly restored cottage from Bend's logging-boom era, built in 1917 — it honors its heritage while giving you every modern convenience. True to its roots, this is a cozy, smaller-scale home: every square foot is put to good use, with the warmth and character you just don't find in new construction. Two bedrooms plus a Tempur-Pedic sleeper sofa comfortably sleep up to 6. Families & pets: Fully pet-friendly with a large, securely fenced yard. Steps from the newly renovated Columbia Park and its modern play structures. Outdoor lovers: Half a block to the Deschutes surf wave and the new river launch — kayak, paddleboard, or tube right from the neighborhood, then follow the river trail to Drake Park. Groups & concert-goers: An equidistant walk to downtown and the Old Mill District, and a stroll home from Hayden Homes Amphitheater — skip the post-show traffic entirely. Remote workers: Fast, reliable Wi-Fi and quiet, sun-drenched corners for getting things done. Chef-ready kitchen with modern appliances, in-unit washer/dryer, smart TVs throughout, and a private backyard with a gas fire pit for cool Bend evenings. Guest access The entire home and the private fenced yard are yours. Dedicated off-street parking for two vehicles, and an easy walk to the Mt. Bachelor shuttle stop when you're heading up the mountain. Other things to note You're in Old Bend, where the city's history meets its modern energy — charming early-Bend cottages all around you, with world-class food, river, and trails just steps away. From the front door you can walk to downtown, the Old Mill, the Box Factory, and Galveston Avenue for dining and shopping, follow the Bend River Trail straight into Drake Park, paddle the Deschutes, walk to a show at the Amphitheater, or hop the shuttle to Mt. Bachelor. A note on space: built in 1917, this is an authentic cottage — comfortable for up to 6, but smaller in scale than a modern build. If you love cozy historic homes with real character, you'll feel right at home; we just want you to picture it accurately before you arrive. A note for pet owners: the yard is fully fenced, though the fence ranges from about 3 to 6 feet. It suits most dogs perfectly, but if your pup is a determined jumper or climber, please plan to keep an eye on outdoor time. A note on upkeep: during the week, we may have someone bring the trash bins to the curb and back, and handle snow removal or landscaping as needed. We do our best to schedule this between stays — but if anything happens during your visit, it'll be quick and unobtrusive.
